Professional 72-inch Tripod for All Canon Sony, Nikon, Samsung, Panasonic, Olympus, Fuji, Cameras and Camcorders Review: Best value in a tripod I have ever seen - If you shoot professionally for a living, you probably can afford something much more expensive than this very inexpensive tripod. if you're an amateur or enthusiast photographer on the other hand, and you spent a bunch of money on lenses and you want to save money on a tripod, this might be just what you're looking for. Although it certainly cannot remotely compete with high-end $600 carbon fiber tripods, for the money it's certainly a great deal, and works well. It's relatively stable, can hold the camera in either portrait or landscape mode, and has all the usual pivots in various axes. I'm not sure I'd trust the top release plate with a really heavy camera in a portrait orientation with a great big telephoto on the front of it (not 100% convinced that you wouldn't be putting your camera at dire risk) but aside from that limitation, it's a very good tripod - and it does handle my camera safely in portrait orientation with a medium sized telephoto without making me unduly anxious about losing my camera off the mount. If you are working with a big telephoto, would definitely use a lens collar. Pros: 1) 72 inches tall for a professional height (means you don't have to be stooping over to look at anything) 2) full rotation in standard three axes 3) comes with a nice (albeit cheap) case 4) relatively lightweight 5) reasonable stability for a lightweight tripod 6) decent level detection (don't need that with my camera however) 7) cheap - really cheap Cons: 1) quick release plate might not hold heaviest cameras in portrait orientation with big heavy lens 2) probably doesn't have the greatest stability relative to an hi-end professional tripod 3) rotation in vertical axis is perhaps a little bit stiff and not as smooth as more expensive tripods Review: Great Tripod for the Casual Photographer - As an entry level photographer who just recently purchased a DSLR camera, I began shopping for some of the basic camera accessories, but didn't want to devote too much money toward this newly discovered hobby. I was happy to find this tripod as it is both well made, lightweight, and cost effective. The Aluminum legs of the tripod provide solid and stable footing while the camera mounting area is very adaptable in terms of range of movement. The mounting piece that attaches to the camera screws onto the camera body and simply clicks into place on the tripod. I was impressed by how easily I could take the camera on and off the tripod by flipping a lever, while having no worries in regards to the cameras security while mounted. The Stand includes an air bubble based level that helps to ensure its level and stable, while another nice feature of this product was the bag that comes with it, allowing for easy carrying and storage. My only complaint about this product is that the very top part which allows the camera to move vertically within the range of about a foot is a bit tough to raise and lower (there is a lever you have to crank)and while at the maximum up position, it seems to be a bit flimsy. Overall though, this is a great product.

Good product, might not be new
SUITABILITY - Intended use is for iPhone and small digital cameras, appears suitable for intended use. TRUTH IN ADVERTISING - Product included 67 inch tripod, carrying case, and cleaning cloth. Tripod and box marked with brand name Digital, not Zeikos, but brand was not an advertised item. All tripod features as advertised. However, dent in center column and slight scuff marks on shoulder of leg (the one with the level bubble) suggest this may not be a New tripod, and the thin nylon case material, while acceptable for a freebie, is not one I associate with a deluxe case. ATTRIBUTES AND APPEARANCE - Tripod design is well thought out, all features operate smoothly. Appearance is good, with the exception of the dent and slight scuffs; however, the dent doesn't seem to affect function, so for the price and given the Seller's return policy, I'll live with it. RELIABILITY, DURABILITY, MAINTAINABILITY - Initial setup and check-out was intuitive and smooth. Too early to tell for sure, but center column dent, and light weight and slight leg flex, give some indication that moderate care may be required during transportation and handling. SUPERIOR FEATURES AND FUNCTIONS - Product price, even with seller's shipping cost, makes for good value. I like the handle and foam grips, even with the light weight of the tripod (a little more than three pounds). I also like the ease of operation of the leg leverlocks. Cleaning cloth seems slightly larger than normal.

Amazing Product
If you are going to purchase a tripod this is the one to buy! PROS: Great price for quality of tripod. It is extremely transportable and convenient. It is very user friendly and doesn't take much effort or time to set it up at all. Solid, sturdy, and lightweight. (A hard combination to come by) Works with almost every camera out there, with an easy interchangeable system to switch out various cameras fast. CONS: One plastic lever that adjusts height feels like its made of cheap plastic and could break if not treated properly (this is a small concern, and Cons are hard to come by with this product) Others have complaints in reviews about "cheap," "missing parts," "broke," & "not professional". Disregard such comments. With this product you get much more than what you pay for and if you treat your equipment with respect you won't have any of these mentioned problems.

6' Camera Height With Many Features Found on High-End Tripods
My five-star rating here has everything to do with 1) what you get, and 2) the low price. While it looks like this tripod used to be under $20, it's now (2015) up to $29.95. At that price, I think you still get an excellent value. Note that this has many of the features of high-end tripods, it's just not as heavy, durable, and professional-quality. For my uses, which involve creating four or five short videos each day, this tripod is working out very well. The main thing I like about this tripod is the height. It gets the camera up to eye level for a 6-foot person, and that gives me much more perspective and vantage than my previous, shorter tripod. The height is really great. This product was not given to me as part of any promotion. I bought it after reading many reviews and doing some comparison shopping. This review is entirely the result of my own opinions and use of the product.

Biggest POS I have bought should have stuck with Walmart
I was beyond ecstatic to have found a 72in tripod with such professional quality and review that I had to instantly purchase this item. I previously had bought a 52in one from Walmart for 15 dollars, just to come home and amazon tripods to find one taller for possibly not much more expensive. What I had found was this tripod and with such great reviews and such I one-clicked ordered it. Took over 2 weeks to get it to my house in the St. Louis area. It sets up perfectly fine, quality seems fantastic, my issues are the levels are not level, while the level indicates it is in balance the head is actually quite visibly seen to be cocked very noticeably. As well as the ability to maneuver the head in a up and down motion lacks completely. At first I thought it may just be due to the newness of the product (fresh out of the box) and may be a little tight on moving. Loosened anything I could think of that may be causing it to stick, just to hear a few cracks when trying to move. Note that I was not using much force or agility when attempting to do so. Worried I had damaged something I scrolled down the neck and brought it to its lowest position to attempt again, thinking perhaps, it isn't best to do this while extended incase the neck snaps. Still to no prevail has the mount had the ability to move up and down, only side to side. I use this for film, and it serves entirely no purpose to me if I cannot use it for the angles of which I need while filming such as up and down. I would return this, but I know you only get back what you pay and nothing back on shipping. I will not be buying anything from this company again, it is honestly entirely frustrating, and quite honestly the biggest piece of shit i have ever bought. You get what you pay for stands entirely correct with this, and I'm sure zeikos as a company is as quality as their products. Great to hear others had such great use with theirs, unfortunately I must tend with the others who have had issues with their order, thank you Zeikos for robbing me of 30 dollars with your POS excuse of a tripod

Not Heavy Duty - And the Head Was Wobbly
I bought this tripod to replace my 30 plus year old tripod that recently developed an issue with its leg locking mechanisms. This tripod seemed like a good replacement for my other tripod and actually cost less than the one I bought more than 30 years ago (even before any "1980 to 2014 dollars" money conversion). My old tripod wasn't anything special, but was adequate for my occasional use. The new tripod also looks to be adequate for occasional use. I say that the tripod is only adequate for occasional use because the head is made mostly of plastic. The hinge points are plastic on plastic and the mating surfaces are very tight. Some of the hinge points were initially a little hard to move. Working the joints for a few minutes loosened them up a bit. This tells me that the plastic will quickly wear to the point of being too loose if the tripod is used frequently. The plastic head and apparent hinge point wear rate is why I say this tripod is adequate only for occasional use. The legs and leg locks seem sturdy and well built. Don't let this "occasional use" label stop you from choosing this tripod. Unless you are doing regular photo shoots, or are out slogging through the woods taking photos from a tripod, I think this tripod will hold up. It is adequate, but I had a small problem: The one issue I had with the tripod is I noticed right away that the head wobbled on the stem. The whole point of a tripod is to have a firm place to set up a camera. A tripod should hold a camera firmly and not wobble. My first thought was to send the tripod back, but because the cost was so low I decided to take the risk of disassembling the unit to determine what was causing the wobble, instead of sending it back. When I removed the head from the stem I could see that the unit had simply been assembled wrong. It was fairly easy to re-assemble the unit properly and cure the wobble. When I reassembled the unit I also added a small bit of adhesive to keep everything aligned during assembly and not allow any head-to-stem alignment issues in the future. Now I have a tripod that functions like it should. Aside from the wobbly head, everything else on this tripod works as advertized. I would recommend this product for photographers that don't use a tripod more than a few times per year. Also check the head and if it wobbles, send it back. The factory will never know they have assembly issues if guys like me keep fixing their mistakes.

Great Buy!!
I read allot of reviews before I buy camera equipment, or anything else for that matter, so I am doing the same for you as others have done for me. I like to pass on info when I think it will help someone. Anyway, I had to get another tripod for general use so I researched and ended up buying this unit. I can tell you from one with 45yrs experiance that this is well worth the money. It is stable, light weight and solid. I ordered it for several reasons, but the three things (besides the value) I like most are these: First it is 67" tall. This is good for tall people, and us not so tall people. Why? Because shooting things in the sky, or objects that are high up, you don't have to stupe down to make setting ajustments! (smart guy) Second, With a shot of siicon spray,(not that it needs it) this tripod pans very smooth. Third, (and allot of people don't know this) there is a hook on the underside that has two great uses. First, you can get an old corkscrew or any thing you want to use and put it in the ground where you set up, and simply attach a "bungicord" between the hook and whatever you put in the ground and your tripod and camera is more stable in high winds. Secondly, there are two levels on this unit and when you are shooting off of a benchmark (like a survey stake) you can hang a plum bulb on the hook and get the center of your location. Not many tripods have that. I was very happy when it arived, and I am still happy today. This is a great buy, believe me!! Pass some good info on, there are to many of the other kind of people in the world! Your welcome!!

Great for filming my YouTube stuff
Got my item over a week ago and I got a chnace to use it a few times so far. It works very well! I'm able to film my videos with ease, and its light enough to move around to get the right angle. I recommend getting this for easy filming especially if you don't want to upgrade to something more expensive. This is perfect. So check out my YouTube channel to see me put this bad boy in action on my next video! SammySweets
