Fantastic heater
So I originally bought the Delonghi Safeheat 1500w and it was always either too hot, or too cold. I work in a hockey rink for up to 9 hours so you could imagine why I'd need a heater… I had the Delonghi for about a year and a bit, when suddenly it just starting sparking out of the back and burn a black circle in my table! So I searched around to find one ASAP for work, and I decided on the Crane model. Wow great little heater. its not too big so it doesn't take up too much room, but it always puts out just the right amount of heat. I keep it on 1200w at the rink (for obvious reasons) but at home I only need it on 600 to warm my space. It's definitely not powerful enough to heat a large room, but its perfect for small spaces like a bathroom, or to put at your feet.As for build quality its fantastic compared to the Delonghi. The Delonghi was made of just plastic and a metal cage (Plus it was more expensive!!) while the Crane is all metal, some bits of plastic and it looks very nice.Definitely recommend!

Excellent
This is certainly an excellent heater for the price. The unit is very quiet, and puts out a lot of heat quickly. At the 1200 watt setting it puts out much more heat than my friend's new 1500 watt, similarly priced heater. (The unit is 800/1200 watts, not 600/1200 watts as indicated in the Amazon description.) And it's very small, so it is unobtrusive and easy to store. The unit is very basic: no thermostat, no remote. Settings are merely high, low, and off. But it does exactly what it's supposed to do, and well. Front gets hot, but it is a space heater. And of course it looks really good. Note that there is an open space below the black grill, with the bottom loop of metal serving as "feet." This wasn't obvious to me from the photo, but makes it look even cooler.

and good quality. This product is all four
I purchased this space heater in order to heat up my very cold basement. I was looking for something inexpensive, light, quiet, and good quality. This product is all four. It is a compact heater that does not take up a lot of room and is very trendy. It has a very sturdy base, so you don’t need to worry about it tipping over. It doesn’t matter if you have it on its low or high setting, it is so quiet you can barely hear it running. This space heater cranks out quite a lot of heat to keep you warm. The front gets pretty hot, so you have to be careful not to burn yourself. I think an easy solution would be for it to have a small handle on it like the box it comes in has. This product is meant for smaller spaces. I purchased this for my basement which is about 18 feet by 12 feet. The area, however, is just too big and too cold for it to be able to keep up. I did bring it up to my dining room which is about 8 feet by 10 feet, and it worked very nicely. If you are seeking a quality product that is easy on your budget this space heater is the right choice. I am satisfied with my purchase and recommend this product.

Great little space heater!
I purchased this space heater to take the chill off a small office in my home, which it does quite well. The unit itself is 8" high, 6 3/4" wide, and 3 3/8" deep. As other reviewers have noted, the rated output is 800 and 1200 watts rather than 600 and 1200 as stated in the product title. (As a reference point, most hairdryers are rated between 1200 and 1800 watts.) The body is a very attractive one-piece brushed aluminum on top, bottom, and sides, with a black metal grill in front and plastic air intake with removable foam filter in back. The space between the bottom of the black front grill and the aluminum bottom is open, which prevents heat from being transmitted to whatever this unit is sitting on. In fact, the brushed aluminum casing remains cool to the touch even on Hi output. More importantly, the electrical cord and plug also remain cool during operation. There is a single control knob with only three positions: Low, Hi, and Off. A single speed fan blows heated air out the front grill. The fan is very quiet, measuring only slightly more than 60 dB as recorded one foot from the front of the unit. The product manual claims that the unit will shut off if it overheats, but mine has not overheated so I cannot verify this claim. The unit does not have a "tip-over" shutoff, so it should not be used where this is likely to happen.Overall, I am very pleased with this unit. It keeps my chilly office nice and warm, and it is attractive enough that I don't mind leaving it out. I highly recommend.

Bummer. It quit working too
Well today is February 23. I ordered this heater on December 25. I ordered it when the other small space heater I got quit working. It is pretty much standard that they never last more than a few months. I was hopeful that this one would because it was a crane. Today it quit working as well. Hasn’t even been two months. But technically, it has no sensor for overheating or turning over. It also has nothing to pick it up and not burn yourself unless you use two hands and pick it up by the side or Kinda sort of the back a little bit but that’s a little sketchy to do. It’s never turned over or anything. Never overheated either. It just won’t work. So don’t buy it. I don’t even know which one to tell you to buy. This is the third brand I’ve tried in the last year. And they all quit working after X amount of time. 2 to 3 months seems to be the average.
