Ingredients Enriched Flour (wheat flour, niacin, iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), Palm Oil, Leavening (baking soda, sodium aluminum phosphate, monocalcium phosphate), Salt, Buttermilk, Dextrose. Review: Great stuff. - Brought back happy memories of my time living in Alabama where these are eaten all the time. Going to get them again as my kids can't help but scoff them down. Review: Franken-Biscuits! “Bioengineered”? Do not buy! Ugh. - If there were no stars I would have given that. I bought these thinking they would be like my delicious (clean eating) biscuits of childhood. I mixed up the batter, spooned them onto the sheet and then glanced at the bag to see how many minutes I needed to bake them. My eye caught the BLANK (as in none!) expiration date…so I kept reading. There, in the bottom right corner on the back of the bag it stated: “Derived from A Bioengineered Source.” When have we recently heard that on the news?! Exactly. How many steps down from “natural” is that? “Derived” from a Franken-source…is too many steps down from natural for me. Who knows what else is being put in processed foods in the USA now (this was made in Minneapolis) after the fiasco of the last years? Steer clear and buy UK products instead. I’m back to making my own biscuits with clean natural UK ingredients.
