is it safe to pour this solution into dirt in my backyard?

Its basically like dish detergent so my guess is yes, it'd be completely safe. It doesn't have harmful chemicals so I'm like 99.99% sure you're all good. But if you grow mutant ants that destroy all life on Earth then that must've been that 0.01%

why is this better than just using kosher salt, rubbing alcohol and hot water?

As someone who does both, I find this product's main benefit was that there was a steak-free clean as opposed to water marks from my tap (I've heard using distilled water prevents this). But kosher salt and alcohol with vigorous shake seemed to work faster for me.

Even with straining at what point do you toss the current bowl? Mine is dark red working.
