Nordic Ware Extra Large Cooling Rack, 16 by 20-Inch

Recently I was called upon to bake a fourteen inch cake. If you've never baked one, I can tell you that it takes some planning. About the time I put the cake in the oven to bake, I realized I didn't have a cooling rack large enough to hold it when it came out of the oven. I ended up wiring two other racks together to try and hold my masterpiece for cooling. It was difficult, tough to handle and my cake layer almost broke. I searched the internet looking for a large sized rack and settled on this one. It got heavy use over Christmas and was indespensible when my daughter and I started our baking. We made 70 dozen cookies for a charity event and this rack allowed us to cool several dozen at a time which helped us meet our deadline. As for cakes, it's perfect to cool two eight inch layers at the same time. I haven't used it on a fourteen inch layer yet, but did bake two 12 inch layers the other day. It held one layer without bowing. I could only cool one layer at a time, but that wasn't a problem since I could only bake one layer at a time as well. I'm considering the purchase of a second one at this time. The only problem I have is storage. It's big and squarish and doesn't fit in my cabinets. For the time being it is stored on the top of my refrigetator. I haven't noticed any problems with rust and mine never had any protectors on the feet, it also seems as level as the day I received it. It looks just like the picture.

very well made and extremely dependable. i dont know why i DIDNT have one all these years? i perched it full time right next to my stove. instead of having to scramble for potholders to protect my counter or dropping the hot dish i put everything on the cooling rack now to transfer it to a plate since i have a small kitchen sometimes i CANT put things on the burners and i heat the majority of my food in the oven so its been getting a workout this past month. Scones from the nonstick scone pan i also bought thru amazon which i love for many reasons i turned it over and the cooling rack was sizable enough to catch all nine Scones without tumbling them to a counter something my dinner plates dont do. Scones gave me a headache because you leave them in the pan or put them on a plate hot and the bottoms get damp. not with this rack i flipped the scone pan over let them cool a bit and perfect to eat warm out of the oven. this racks holds my heavier pans the scone pan and my commercial cookie pan with no bending issue. easy to clean popping it into the dishwasher.I just love this cooling rack even if you dont make baked goods but a major help when you do its perfect for people who heat things in the oven.

Love that these are large and sturdy. I have three and it was great to have so much space for cooling Christmas cookies. The only problem is storing them. I ended up putting them in a super-sized ziploc bag and putting them in a closet. Wished I had these years ago. Would prefer they were not Teflon, but otherwise they are great.

This is really handy when I bake cookies. I tend to bake many dozens in a session with a dozen 2" cookies coming out of the oven every 4-5 minutes (I've got a small oven). These stacked racks save space and by the time the racks are full, the first ones are cool enough to go into the box. I like the sturdy design and construction of these racks. It's a good buy.

I bake and decorate cakes for my grandchildren. I needed a very large rack to cool a large sheet cake on. This was perfect! It also works well when baking a lot of cookies at Christmas time. Highly recommend it...

I despise a greasy outdoor grill or smoker. I started using a 15" paella pan in my 22.5" diameter smoker and grill. I needed a rack in the paella pan that allowed complete air circulation and the Nordic Ware 13.25" cooling rack fits PERFECTLY in a MageFesa 15" Carbon Steel Paella pan. I now have two paella pans and two cooling racks. The cooling rack is used to hold the meat off the bottom of the paella pan, allowing complete heat and smoke circulation. The rack is easy to clean and appears to be holding up beautifully with use one to three times a week. I love the pairing of the pan and the rack and recommend the combo to all my meat smoking friends.

I like this cooling rack because it's very sturdy. I also like the grid design instead of just the single wires across, because, as other reviewers have noted, cookies and other things won't fall through. I've been looking for a good grid rack for a while, and I've seen similar ones for at least twice the price. As for those people who commented that they didn't get the protective feet, I just called Nordic Ware (you can check out their website) and a very nice woman said she would mail me some replacements. I am sure I will get a great deal of use out of this cooling rack, especially when I make my candies at Christmas.

Never understood why they would made a cooling rack smaller than the average cookie sheet. This thing is great and you can fit all the cookies on at once with space between. I put it over some paper towel and no fuss to clean any crumbs. Also seen these priced much higher other places. I had one than was slightly rounded bad design because with rounded edge it was hard to dry after cleaning and it would roll out of the cabinet. Highly recommend this product on Amazon.

Fits perfectly inside my drip tray for my kamado joe. Good quality and easy to clean.

Huge size cooling rack. Great for when I’m making a 16” pizza. Nice black colour, and easy to clean. Would recommend, if you’re after an oversize cooling rack.
