Great egg cooker that does everything as advertised. No mess, no demonic sounds and no burnt by steam fingers like other brands. Slight residue buildup caused by water, not the product. The eggs cook well and well, the water measurements are reliable. The only downside is that the measuring cup will not stand flat with or without the pin cover, which makes getting exact measurements difficult, but it's not that big of an issue. The metal pin lasts which makes it worth it. Had it for a couple months now and can definitely recommend. Great value for money.

One the whole, easy to use and to me at least, less bother than using pans, etc. Points to note: 01. Poaching. Make sure you lightly oil/butter the compartments in the poaching tray. The tray only holds 3 eggs. You can only use medium (UK) eggs. To me, they taste more like boiled eggs rather than having that distinctive taste when done properly. 02. Omelette. Again, oil/butter the omelette tray. If adding milk to your mixture, only add a little and don't used skimmed milk. You can use medium or large eggs. Measure how much the tray will hold and then make your mix to suit. Again, the taste isn't quite the same as if done properly. 03. Boiling. Make sure you pierce the shell with the pointed tip under the supplied measuring cup. Pierce the more rounded end. 04. Steaming. Yet to try. 05. General. Negatives: You will need to experiment with the timings to get your preferred results. As stated above, you don't quite get the same taste as if cooked properly. Positives: Really easy to use. Easy to clean. Generally less bother. Possibly/probably more eco friendly as less water needed to poach or boil and don't have to wait to water boiling. Rating: 4 stars rather than 5 based on taste results and limited capacity (only UK medium eggs or smaller can be poached). It's good rather than excellent, but am generally happy with it and would recommend, certainly based on price compared to others.

UPDATE January 2023: Shortly after writing this review the unit started to leak quite badly when in use. I’ve noticed that every type of machine I’ve bought for eggs does this, so perhaps it’s normal. It did put me off using it, though, and it’s something to confused when purchasing. This is perfect if you love boiled eggs. I haven’t tried omelettes or steaming things yet, but the boiled eggs are perfect every time. I like my eggs medium boiled to keep the flavour without having any runny egg, and these egg boilers get it right without me even having to do anything except measure out the water. I had one years ago, bought a new one to replace it and won’t ever boil eggs in a pot again. You need this in your life!

As a man of a certain age who enjoyed boiled eggs as part of his diet as child I have always been frustrated boiling eggs as frsheness etc did mean that sometimes some eggs were hard or under cooked. I am extremely happy to say that after 3 uses I have had perfect soft boiled eggs every time and yes I can cook but boiled eggs can be so annoying at times in a busy lifestyle. This is a brilliant product which I never thought I would buy or love but it does make life so easy and quicker than any pan method.

Loved this to begin with but after about 4 months of use it started to leak everywhere so i had to return, because of that i cant give more than 3 stars. Maybe i was just unlucky. The product, before the leaking issue, was fantastic! Really easy to use, cooked eggs well and easy jug with a guide on, to measure the water depending how many eggs/ how hard you want the eggs. I even liked doing omlettes in it, as a healthy alternative to a Greggs breakfast, to which I'm partial! Sad that i had the issues but leaking water near the electrial imput just wasnt safe.

Eggs are amazing, but they are hard to cook the way you want them. With this thing, all it takes is one click. You could go to the shower and by the time you come out, its all done, exactly how you like it. Prefectly cooked, every single time. Higly recomend it for people on keto and for those who dont have the time to cook in the morning, before going to work. Helped me to stop buying pre-cooked overpriced eggs from Tesco and have some freshly cooked runny orange goodness for less than half a pound.

Great little tool for when you want boiled eggs, especially in batches. It’s easy to use and very very efficient. I mean come on, you no longer need to stand around and wait on the pot of boiling water. A cup of water, click of a button and off you go. Love the alarm feature when it is done. Click the button again and it turns off. A few moans are the poached eggs holder is way too small and only for 3 small eggs? Can’t even do it for just me and my partner. We have two eggs each sometimes. Same for the omelet holder, too small. The instructions should be clearer and for different egg sizes and temperature, I live in the UK, so don’t put the eggs in the fridge.

I managed to get the timing right to get soft boiled eggs from my first attempt. I use it often and also get great poached eggs. I have used it for omletes too. You get a small square omelette,easy to make though not as fancy as a stove cooked or grilled one as you can't add lots of extra ingredients as it's too small and may not cook them all depending what you put in. I would now never go back to boiled or poached on the hob as with this method I can switch on and walk away and get on with other things until the timer goes and get perfect results.
