this really works!
overview - during the corona shutdown, I had to start working out at home - I bought parallel dipping bars, a head harness (neck exercises) and this Marcy forearm developer - I hadn't seen this offered anywhere before amazon - reading the reviews, some other buyers said it didn't have enough resistance - so, I bought one and tried it out - this indeed has ample resistance - you can set the range from light to heavy - also the grip distance - I am not using the full max setting - I do 50 reps on the 1st set - then 30 more reps on the 2nd set, with a 3.5 out of 5 setting - believe me, you will 'feel the burn' after working out with these - I liked it so much, I bought a 2nd unit to workout both arms at the same time - I can install and remove both of these units myself - I'm 6'2" and 230 lbs and in excellant physical shape - and these are well matched to my strength level, which should be just fine for most other people - these are big, so smaller arms may not fit comfortably - pros - plenty of variable resistance - padded contact areas - adjustable grip distance - well made, don't feel cheap or breakable - decent price at $20 (I bought 2) - intense forearm and wrist workout! cons - after over a weeks use, I have no negative comments - I highly recommend these to any serious power builder -

Gripping office device!
This thing is pretty phenomenal for the office. I don't know if I would keep this in a personal gym as another piece of equipment for a workout session, but for working out in what would otherwise be unused time in a work day, this kicks the proverbial butt. I saw a coworker who had one, used his, and ordered this that first night. Be aware that it is not a brute strength device, but rather an endurance focused piece. I have a job which requires me to be on the phone and when I'm not typing, I can pick this up and use it for a minute or two and definitely feel the burn. I have very strong wrists and large forums and this is great when used correctly. Good for distraction or to get the blood flowing a bit when sitting at a desk all day. Pros: - Workout your forearms in the office without disturbing anyone (other than the people who smile and wave back to your bobbing hand) - Adjustable settings make this useful to most people. I crank it all the way up and go until I can't anymore. - Can be flipped for extensions as well as curls - *Can* be used for finger(s) isolation. This is admittedly a bit tricky, but worth the experimentation Cons: - Wrist size. I have rather large wrists (6' 260#) and the wrist grip is snug. I work with a lot of people who were collegiate athletes, now 1-4 years out of school, and they have no issues. The majority of people won't. - Hand grip loosens regularly during use - minor issue - just keep tightening the screws after use

a good supplemental forearm workout
Ive actually purchased one of these before, no idea what happened to it but it was probably lose in a move or something, so the fact that i purchased another should say something to start. forearms are a somewhat weird muscle to workout, wrist curls and a "wrist roller" are probably youre best bet for them (Pro tip, take a broom stick and drill a hole, put a sturdy rope/twine through the hole and something to be able to hold weight at the bottom for a DIY wrist roller). this item allows for essentially wrist curls to be done without a barbell or dumbbell. its pretty solidly built, not saying you could abuse it and drop it but its not going to break via normal use. its simple to use, the most annoying part may be trying to dial in the hand position to get the proper movement, but there isnt a lot of play there and once you find it you dont need to adjust. its small enough to be stored virtually anywhere, i keep mine under my desk as i use it while at the computer a lot. its a good device to be able to get in a smaller workout while doing menial tasks. it has an adjustable amount of resistance or weight you can use, i usually keep mine on the highest which is 5. i will say that i normally do sets of 25+ repetitions to get a decent feeling from it. i by no means am i power lifter or anything of that sort so thats a bit disappointing. it does have nice padding that makes it not bothersome to use. it is a bit limited by the fact that the resistance is not that much and it only allows for one movement to be done which limits its functionality. Overall its a pretty good item, its a good supplemental forearm workout. you will want to do other "lifts" along with it, but as an item one can using sitting and watching TV, or reading emails etc its worth its money. i only wish they had a version with more resistance so i would not have to do as many reps to feel it.

Marcy Wrist and Forearm Developer
I'm going to give this 5 stars on the word of my cousin. My hands and forearms are too big so I couldn't use it. So I gave it to my cousin . He thinks it great . He gave me a whole list of how it's great , yeah I'm not typing all that. So 5 stars. P.s. If you know you have larger hands and forearms then an average person it's probably not going to work for you .

Works good, but hand grip constantly comes loose
I have heard this for over a year now and my chief complaint is that the little screw for the hand grip comes undone after every single set you have to constantly type and adjust it or else it comes loose. Iโm not sure. However everyone gives us such a good review with this being glaring problem with it ultimately, it doesnโt totally ruin the workout for me to tighten it it back up- but I do find it annoying enough to deduct a star or two
