Farrow & Ball Decorating with Colour

Very useful for actually painting the house. Big photos with names of the paints in the description. Helpful for seeing the colors in a big space, not just on the color cards. I'll give this to someone who wants a coffee table book now that we're done with the painting

Love all of Ros Byam Shaw's books - her aesthetic is impeccable. Did not love this one as much as her "Perfect English" series, though I love Farrow and Ball's paints. Is certainly insprational, however, if you are an anglophile at heart, as I am!

Aside from their stunning paint products - F&B's decorating books are eye candy for all those who want to be inspired in how color transcends language to create the most amazing spaces.

This book is great! Not only does it have amazing ideas on wall color it has beautiful decor. It is one of the best home decor books I've bought.

The cover is beautiful, but I personally found the rooms to be very masculine, cold and drab. It looks like the author had a bad dream the night before.

Farrow and Ball has the most incredible colors, and this book shows them off in ways people live today. Very enjoyable photographs, the writing is well done and the information at the end of the book is priceless. Just needs another 40 or so pages in my opinion. Definitely worth buying.

We love and collect books written by Ros Byam Shaw. There are great course books of style! We recommend heartily also Perfect English Cottage and Perfect English Farmhouse.

Es ist ein Werbebuch eines exklusiven Farbenherstellers: aber dieses Buch blättert man wirklich stundenlang von vorne nach hinten, von hinten nach vorne, und wieder zurück... ein Foto schöner als das andere, perfekte Arrangements, wundervolle Stimmungen. Am Anfang fragt man sich noch, ob die abgebildeten Räume so wirklich existieren oder im Studio nachgebaut sind. Dann wird einem das egal, und man geniesst einfach die perfekten Kompositionen aus Farbe, Möbeln, Accessoires... und nimmt jede Menge Ideen mit, aus seiner einheitsweißen Rauhfaser-Wohnung doch mal etwas anderes zu machen.

Dieses Buch nehme ich immer wieder in die Hand. Es gibt so viele Anregungen. Wer schon einmal mit den Farben von Farrow and Ball gearbeitet hat, wird seine Freude an den Abbildungen haben. Wer nicht, der wird vielleicht Lust auf "Elephant breath" oder andere Farben bekommen. Leider haben wir nicht alle so schöne Räume.....

An excellent book. Don't be swayed by the die hard traditionalists. Move with the times and move forward. The previous books focussed mainly on architecture and colour. This book not only focusses on architecture and colour but also on interior decoration and design. The themes are looser, more modern, more adventurous and far less sterile than those illustrated in the previous 'colour' book. And all the better for it. The text as always is readable, interesting, informative and practically useful. Highly recommended.

I have used Farrow and Ball colours in the past and am just doing my new house. This book gives such great ideas for mixing room colours and because Farrow and Ball paint is so pure, I had ordered their swatches from their web site, you can see in this book the actual colour painted in a room. Wow...loved it and would recommend it highly for anyone looking for a change in their colours. Be brave and take the leap for these vibrant colours !!!
