On-the-Go Fashions for 18-Inch Dolls

This would be a 5 star review except there are mistakes or omissions in the patterns. If you are experienced with crochet and patterns, you can probably figure things out. But it is annoying to find errors/omissions in a pattern book. I cold not find errata posted anywhere online. Nevertheless, the clothes are cute and fit the doll well. They are quick to make.

This book has some interesting and fresh ideas, a shell crochet skirt for example. And, you have to love the teddy bear pj/ romper idea. I found the patterns to be easy to follow, and there is a good information section at the back about stitches, etc. All i n all, I think that I will not only enjoy making these patterns, but they will inspire me to try my own variations on them. I do wish there were a couple more patterns, but the accessory patterns are quite nice.

The instructions were a little schetchy

This is an awesome book, patterns are very well written. Bought for my mom for mother's day, and I plan on buying one for myself. Love the patterns in the book, they are adorable.

The styles are up-to-date and and fashionable. The instructions are easy to follow and the color combinations looks great. I'm looking forward to completing all the outfits.

I should have realized the Aussie author would have been using HER local yarns which is not a criticism. Translating that to USA local yarns, however, is not my idea of fun. Not only that, I have no intention of using wool yarn for doll clothes. I want them to be able to be thrown in the washing machine & not fear shrinkage, just easy wash & wear should it be needed. Also, for the price, I would have expected several more patterns, at least a pair of pants. There are 18 total patterns, including 6 outfits; the rest of them are accessories. Otherwise it IS up to the Annies Attic standards for color prints and heavy paper books AND printed in the USA, which is a plus where I am concerned. I will still try to make them, but it will be trial & error as to fit.

Beautiful book with patterns that are brilliant and well written. Any doll owner would love to knit these patterns. Very good service.

Bought this so I could make some outfits for my nieces birthday to go with her new My Generation Doll. The clothes fitted the doll really well and were easy to make.

Up to date clothes for dolls.
