Very high price compared to competing products of same function, but I know this brand works.
I am giving it four stars, because of price. At $28+, the price is quite high. There are competing products here which are significantly less expensive for 32 fluid ounces, less than half. But I know it works, have used it now for two hot tubs. The problem with trying a competing product in order to save $10-12, the experiment could end in disaster for your water quality. More work for you, than 10 bucks could be worth. So I guess I just grin and bear it. I was priced around $22,, three years, ago. Like everything else, prices reach for the five stars, but I give only four....

if you have hard water and scale
IF..your fill water has lime, calcium, build up on your faucets etc..the that stuff is in you spa/pool too. You can use a hose connection pre filter (around $34) to get some of it out..This scale remover product helps with the rest, keeping the scale in suspension..helping your regular in the spa filter get some more of it out. Hard water (calcium high) is harder to balance. This helps. Use exactly as instructions state. It is likely that if you have scale, calcium is high, hardness is high, and ph and total alkalinity will be high. Filter--scale control, wait--then test and adjust ph a little at a time til you get both alkalinity (first) and then ph) right.

Consistent Product and Price
Spa Guard chemicals for Spas are getting somewhat more difficult to find. My local sources have changed to different suppliers. I’ve always had good results with Spa Guard for over 18 years and would like to continue to use their products. Plus this company has held their price steady.

Prices have risen in the last few years
You need this to make your SPA pumps last longer. Use this or something similar or spend your money on replacing a pump.
