Very good read for college student or just Teenagers! I actually enjoyed reading it myself.

I have purchased many of these over the years - primarily for our middle school Sunday School & confirmation class kids. In general, I have found the GNT to be a great balance of readability with pretty good rendering of the text in English (absolutely not the most literal of translations, but one of the best in contemporary English). The price for these books is really incredible. Only complaint is that the text is pretty small for some people.

It is essentially a compact Good News Bible with the Deuterocanonical books, following the 73 book Canon of the Roman Catholic Church. It does have Imprimatur, which we find in small print on the very first page: Imprimatur ✠Most Reverend William H. Keeler. D.D. President, National Conference of Catholic Bishops March 10, 1993 The book is smaller than I expected, but still within the realm of what I was looking for. It is about as tall as a smart phone, and a little wider. The text is relatively small, and I have an image of a quarter on the page to give an idea the size. The Cover of the Book isn't made of any cheap paper like you'd find on an economy Bible, I would describe it as feeling like a strange composite, relatively thick. Pages aren't super thin, about what you'd expect. All in all a great book.

I enjoy this version of the Bible. It increases my understanding of the WORD. I highly recommend this Bible as a resource for Bible Study and as your main Bible.

This Bible translation is good for beginners in the faith or for those who are new to the English language. The modern day text makes it easy to read and understand. I like the contents of this particular Bible being that it has the extra missing books that aren’t found in other regular translations. But are only available in Orthodox Christian or Catholic Bibles versions. Now this book is very small and could literally fit in your coat pocket or man satchel bag, which is good if you are on the go and traveling. The pages are small and words are very small as well to where if you have eye vision issues you’ll need glasses for this type of a read. Also the pages are somewhat printed on a flimsy cheaper paper which tends to stick together. Overall it is a matter of what is more important to you when purchasing a Bible. I personally love this type of translation which makes it simple for today’s English. And it is a great addition to my already extensive Bible and Christian reading materials. I gave it 4 out of 5 only because of the small font, if you can get passed that it is worth the buy

I've been wanting this Bible for a while, and finally got it. I am delighted with it. It is small enough to slip into a purse for easy access. The print is small, but such a clear font, that I don't have any trouble reading it through my bifocals (I do have trouble focusing on other things). There are a few helps in the back (Maps, Septuagint quotes in the New Testament, rudimentary Glossary and Index, Biblical Chronology, brief Book introductions & translator's footnotes) - but not so many helps that they crowd out the text. The translation is easy to read & enjoyable. The binding is glued, not sewn. Since I have an older identically bound Bible in a different translation, I know that this sort of binding will have pages fall out with use over time, but it is perfect for my on-the-go needs, like carrying to Bible Study, Church, coffee shop or airplane. I love that it has the Intertestamental books (or Apocrypha or Deuterocanonicals - whatever you like to call them) what a treasure in a small binding : )

I grew up Catholic, yet turned up a Hippie and read the Good News way back in the 70’s. I wanted the GNT in a portable yet readable version. I found this one with the Books I had with the Catholic version. What a great find! It feels good in the hand, is light-weight, and I can read it without glasses.

La sta utilizzando una persona che ha alle spalle studi teologici ma non di lingua inglese, i risultati sono stati interessanti. Alcuni passaggi hanno una traduzione che alle volte "suona" meglio della classica Bibbia di Gerusalemme, si sente l'influenza del mondo anglosassone. Di piccole dimensioni, ha pochissime note a margine, ma l'uso di un inglese semplice e moderno permette a chiunque, anche a chi sta imparando la lingua, di comprenderne il significato, soprattutto a chi già ha studiato su una traduzione italiana. Se si sta cercando di migliorare la propria comprensione della lingua inglese può essere una valida alternativa ai classici libri di narrativa graduati A1-B1.

Nicely sized for travel or fitting into a bag or purse. Due to miniature size it might be hard to read for those who can't read smaller texts without reading glasses. Excellent condition. Easy to read version. Thank you!
