Very nice
In the last few years rum has been my drink of choice, so many to choose, decided with the good reviews to give this a try. Packs a punch at 65 abv! On first taste you get the hit of pineapple in your mouth,..then the burn on your lips, then the aftertaste of a caramel flavour as it burns down your throat, then my face felt like it was burning! 10 out of 10 would recommend. Many reviews mention it being smooth and no burn, I agree it's smooth and delicious, but I definitely felt the burn, maybe just me with that though. I prefer to drink rum straight, but gave this a try with a coke on one occasion, maybe not the best mixer as it tasted almost sickly sweet, it took away the burn, but have drank neat ever since.

More toffee flavour than pineapple.
Was a little disappointed to find that it tastes and smell way more like toffee than pineapple, the pineapple is barely negligible. Had a lot of plans for pineapple flavoured rum cocktails. It tastes great and the flavour is strong enough that it takes away from the gross strength but more of a fruity flavour would cut through it way better.

Flavoursome with a big kick!
Lovely stuff. Mostly salted caramel but pineapple very noticeable too. 65% ABV means it has a punch so drink responsibly! Too strong to drink straight so a little ice or mixer is recommended. I'm adding some of this to this years Rumtopf for flavour and strength and to prevent fermentation. I'm hoping it'll go nicely with the Demerara rum. Can't wait till Christmas to try it....

Not for the feint hearted!
After getting married in the Caribbean many moons ago I have always been a fan of rum. Like many I watched Dragons Den and this was on and I decided to purchase a bottle, my advice on price is to shop around as sometimes the Supermarkets have it on promotion, so you could save yourself some money. On that note I think the price point is expensive and I wouldn't rush out to buy more unless it was on offer. That said the flavour is nice, if you have a sweet tooth and the overproof rum, gives it a kick. We did dip some pineapple in a small measure and put it on the BBQ to try, tasted amazing, but an expensive treat. Also tastes good in cocktails and there are some recipes on the Rockstar website and on the web that you can try.
