Easy to apply! And long lasting

This is solid. I'm more of a fan of the previous formula, but this is still a solid product if taken out from the shadow of the old formula. The texture is soft and creamy in the pot, and it picks up on an angled brush easily. It applies very smoothly and dries down faster than most other gel liners I've used. On the plus side, minimal risk of accidental smudging. On the negative side, minimal opportunities for correction and intentional smudging. The duality of man, etc. This is smudge-proof and I am a woman with hooded eyes who often messes up her own eyeliner merely by blinking, so I'm pretty jazzed about how fast this firms up... unless I mess up my application and have to lunge to smudge it STAT. Win some lose some I guess! The shade I got is a dark black-brown color with a matte finish. I've got pale and cool-toned skin, and on me it looks fairl ysoft and warm. It doesn't look as harsh as a true black liner would, which makes it a nice everyday option, especially if you're paler. I will say though that this has to be applied with a very light hand, as too heavy an application leaves this looking incredibly messy on me... and then I can't even smudge it out to course correct lol. Wear time has been decent for me under normal conditions (think 9 to 5 with minimal sweating -- so really optimal conditions lmao). It can go for several hours without fading. I live in the south and vacation a lot, and find that it tends to smudge/blur slightly on hotter and higher humidity days. I have sensitive skin, and this hasn't caused any irritation so far. There's no noticable scent to this, and I haven't had any issues with my eyes or contact lenses either -- though I am careful with how close to my eyes I apply my makeup in general. Overall, I think this is a solid liner and ok value. A little product goes a long way, and it survives an average day without issues. It just doesn't have the borderline tattoo-level strength I've come to expect from this product, and from Bobbi Brown makeup (I'm a long-time customer lol) as a whole. 4 stars!
