PetFusion Pet Grooming Gloves, Hair Removal and Bathing, Scratch Resistant

These pet gloves are great! I can't say they are bite proof, because my puppy hasn't bitten me when wearing them yet. (it's only a matter of time...he has bitten me before) I did use these when giving him a bath....twice....he wasn't spooked by me wearing them and rather enjoyed being lathered up with them. They have raised areas on the inside of the glove where your fingers go that gives your pet a kind of massage...he liked that. They are comfortable to wear...not stiff...and are very easy to put on and take off. I could easily hold onto him when I needed to. They also kept my hands and arms dry while bathing him too. My Teddy is only 20 pounds and I was fairly confident that if he did bite me, his sharp teeth wouldn't have penitrated the thick material. I would not trust these to protect you from the bite of a larger dog thou. I also used these when trimming some of my cats claws with great success....you know the ones who fight you because they hate having their claws trimmed....the ones that kick and bite and fight to get away...I was able to hold onto them firmly even while they were squirming to get away, without being scratched or their bites going throu these gloves. These gloves not only protected my hands, but also my arms up to my elbows. Mom's new secret weapon....some of my cats were very upset with me!

After having two kittens and an adult cat shred my arms, including leaving a full adult claw embedded in the palm of my hand, I got these. Tonight, we had to do a flea bath again on all three and it was fantastic. They were long enough that even when the adult cat freaked out and tried to climb my arm, she only caught the top of the glove sleeve. The gloves resisted her claws and the kittens as well. None of them bite, so I cannot speak to that. However, when it comes to their claws, it was great. As for fit, I got these large size and they were just right. Any smaller and they’d have been uncomfortable. The design on the palms helped both with grip and with both soaping up and rinsing out the cats. The gloves were well worth the purchase price in the very first use. They came within a day and I would definitely recommend them.

I own a smaller female cat. She despises being handled. I bought these gloves because I wanted to try grooming her at home and, most importantly, trimming her vicious dagger nails. I’m happy to report that these gloves did protect me from both her swats and bites. I’m an adult male with average size hands and the gloves were snug, but ultimately fit. I did find that my ability to manipulate small objects was diminished while wearing them, but this was expected. The gloves seem to be a reasonable size. They fit well enough, and they seem to work well at protecting against scratches and bites. Of course, the pressure from a bite can still be painful, but the gloves protected the skin. Unfortunately, no amount of glove wearing will stop a cat from squirming and wriggling away, so I ended up taking my cat to a professional groomer. At the lower price point these gloves are definitely worth trying if you need to handle a cat with a short temper.

These gloves did great against a group of fussy kittens who not only despise water but turn into yowling, screaming, biting and reckless claw-slashing machines as if they’re being tortured while forced to watch scores of their feline brethren be attacked in droves nearby on Earth’s final day in orbit. The thickness around the palm area is the best spot to be bitten, in my opinion. One of the main ones who loves to do this, in attempt to literally rip my skin off and eat it while making eye contact(good thing I were wearing a different kind of gloves back then, or else that really would have been my skin), bit and bit and chomped away, but didn’t get through. Further up along the thinner part around the arms though, however, I could feel the bite pierce me—but for the most part I could just look at him and go “Uh huh.” A much larger, and older, kitten—who is the perfect size to curl up and do damage with all 4 feet at once while clamping teeth down at the same time—managed to ALMOST rip the gloves down far enough to expose my whole forearm. Thankfully, the amount he did pull down I was able to readjust safely. His claws I could feel rather clearly, again, higher up along the glove. Other moments, I swear the tips of his claws sank right into the glove, but I couldn’t feel it. And no threads were dislodged by this. In terms of water resistance, these gloves are NOT it haha. While my hands weren’t swimming in globs of water, I could easily feel the buildup of shampoo sloshing around them. In a way, it helped when I squeezed my fist a good height above the cat to have more suds pour out, like a sponge when reaching for a washcloth would have been risky. My fingertips were all pruny upon taking the gloves off. Overall, although these gloves could be a bit more sturdy higher up on the arm, and more snug around it, these really did do the job. Had I not worn them, the entirety of my forearms and hands would have been bleeding into the water. So bizarre a cat could love you, and know you love them—but come bath time, and if they hate water—you become enemy number one and they will try to rip through you to get away! Bathing cats is the worst, but these gloves made the task MUCH more tolerant. I only got scratched once—and it was while carrying a kitty TOWARDS the water because, well, the gloves aren’t designed to fit around my neck, so that was fully exposed haha. Definitely a good purchase, but I wouldn’t have minded if they were a tad thicker—still their scruff factor is good and I wouldn’t want to risk losing that aspect if I did get a bulkier pair, elsewhere. I’m so glad these were made!

I'm pet sitting a resource-guarding bulldog, and I had an emergency with him where he grabbed something that would be dangerous if he swallowed it. Had no choice but to try to grab it out of his mouth. He bit, which I knew he would, so I was wearing these gloves, and his teeth didn't make it through the glove at all. Still won't protect you from the pressure of the bite, which should be obvious, and the tissues in my finger were crushed a bit and took some weeks to heal fully, but I didn't get any puncture wounds, which is what's really important. I have women's small hands. I always use the small sized nitrile gloves for reference. These fit well, with a tiny bit of room in the fingers. I can't reach into a pouch for treats with these, but I can do some basic grabbing and holding. (Not the bulldog's fault! Fault of people for taking him away from his mother too soon and not treating him well in his first home.)

Good gloves but the cat tooth passed the gloves and my skin had a bite.

I’m so glad that I got these. My cat has the sharpest nails and she hates having her nails cut. I can’t imagine doing that without these powerful finger protectors. They are flexible enough to be gentle with your cat and cut their nails at the same time. They look just like they are on the picture. The material is solid. And I got these for a good price so I do recommend them.

Wij gebruiken deze om(wilde) katten te pakken. Deze handschoenen zijn niet zo stug en daardoor veel handzamer en beweeglijker om een dier vast te pakken. Als een wilde kat echt doorbijt voel je het wel en krijg je een knijpblaar, maar de tandjes gaan er (tot nog toe) niet doorheen. Aanrader.
