Best Chicory Coffee I’ve tried
Best chicory coffee I’ve tried and much better compared to CDM. The dark roast isn’t too dark that it’s overpowering and the chicory evens it out I’d say. It taste fresh and not stale or burnt like some of the others do like CDM. I’ve tried the medium-dark roast as well but prefer the dark roast to that, it’s strong enough to wake me up but not too strong tasting that I need to drown it in fillers. I do wish the cans were bigger but I will continue to buy either way.

Great coffee and chicory
I buy this coffee to make cold brew that I drink every morning. The chicory tempers the bitterness of coffee and leaves me with smooth, strong coffee to make my breakfast iced lattes. And it reminds of the years my husband and I spent in New Orleans while he went to Loyola.

Best Chicory Coffee I've tasted
This is the best Chicory Coffee I've had at a reasonable price. I make filtered coffee with this using a perforated steel canister filter from India and it comes out perfect. Add a little mild and it tastes great! I've received many complements for this coffee which I accept graciously, thanks to French Market Coffee :)

dark roast= strong bold cup with hint to chicory; lends body w/o bitterness
Good flavor and strength. I have the "Dark roast" option. I like my coffee dark, black, unsweetened. This has a well established undertone of chicory. Not strong, but it is there in the background. Probably best for those not looking for strong chicory yet want a bold cup of coffee with added baody (sans bitterness). I make this in a French press, and I need to use less that what I normally do with my coffee. Even then it is sometimes too strong. I dont often do creamer, but there are times that I use it to make this taste smoother--usually because I still made it too strong. I mean, I love my coffee ultra bold and strong, but sometimes too much coffee grounds to water ratio just makes it taste harsh. Need a balance. So overall I like it. Just a little tricky for me to get right. When I do, it makes a strong cup of dark coffee, with hint of nutty chicory. I like that the chicory gives the coffee body yet doesnt impart an tang or bitterness. For the price it is worth the try.

Bold and Robust
I absolutely love French Market Coffee & Chicory Dark Roast! The flavor is bold and robust, yet incredibly smooth with no bitterness. The chicory adds a rich depth and a subtle earthy note that really sets it apart from other dark roast coffees. It brews beautifully and fills the kitchen with an amazing aroma. This coffee is a wonderful way to start the morning, especially if you appreciate a strong cup with that classic New Orleans–inspired flavor. I will definitely continue purchasing this one! ☕

Less is more
I'm glad I read other reviews stating that you should use a smaller amount of coffee than usual for this one. I use this pot to brew single cups: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CGVX19DF?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2 I usually fill up the basket with my usual coffee but doing that with this coffee made a bitter and nasty taste. I fill about 1/4 of the basket now and get a nice (still bold) taste. This is great news as I get a nice cup of coffee and it will last 4 times longer. I use this small maker in my office and I like a dark coffee pick me up during the work day. My morning routine includes a Melita ceramic cone pour over using a blend of Colombian and dark roast (Mostly Colombian)

Great coffee!
This was my son’s favorite brand & (pre-Amazon) my MIL would order it by the case from New Orleans! We love the delicious addition of chicory to the flavor! It’s like the perfect ‘Tennessee Truck Stop Coffee’!!

Wonderful coffee.
Has not been in stock with my normal Australian supplier for some time. Other sites came with prohibitive postage. Once again able to enjoy this great coffee. Thank you Amazon.

Reminds me of Vietnam
Having been on specialty coffee for a while now, it doesn't scratch that itch. But it's nice sometimes with condensed milk to remind me of times in Vietnam.
