Aurifil Quilting Thread 50wt Green

I was having trouble with my machine thread breaking on my Brother machine.After trying every adjustment possible, new needle, etc etc, someone online suggestedchanging thread brands, and Aurifil was their suggestion.So, I tried one spool. This stuff is really overpriced, in my opinion, because even though the quality is great, it is still just thread. However, I am hooked. I had to have 100% cotton for my projects, and this was my third brand of thread. It sews like a dream!I had no troubles with tension, no troubles with needles, no thread breakage, etc. It does a great job.So, I highly recommend Aurifil cotton thread (50 wt). Just know that you need to be wealthy to have a large collection!I can no longer work outside the home, so I pick up spools as I can afford to (and I have to buy them online, as no stores in our area carry this brand), and hope to eventually have nearly all my cotton thread be Aurifil.

My use of this thread is for hand piecing and quilt-as-you-go structure. It performed well. Aurifil is my favorite thread for all kinds of quilting.

This is my mom's favorite thread and I get her some every year for her stocking. She loves to have it for quilting. But also, the spools are so pretty, I think she also likes to have a lot of them to just look at.

I'm convinced Aurifil is the best thread available. I use it for quilting and regular sewing. I have never been disappointed with it. The range of solid colors and variegated colors is great. It doesn't leave a bunch of lint like some more widely available and cheaper threads. The threads are thinner, but are stronger than some other brands, too. I love this brand and will never put another thread in my beloved machine again.

Apparently if you are a quilter this is the best thread you can buy. I wouldn't know, I'm not a quilter I just buy the thread. The price was right, it arrived promptly and was the right color. Speaking of color local fabric stores had a limited supply of bland colors while here there is an expansive array of colors.

Excellent thread! This is the only thread I use for quilting as I only use the best. My belief is that if I put such a generous amount of my life energy and time into what I'm making, I do not cut any corners on the quality of the materials I use!
