BLACKHORSE-RACING Universal 800ml Radiator Coolant Overflow Oil Catch Tank

I bought this as an amazon warehouse deal and I was impressed on the item. Seams very well built. Comes with two brackets, two bolts, two nuts, a large hose clamp to hold tank, two small hose clamps for connecting hose, the hose and the tank. The tank is not vented which I think it should be since that is why it aids when installing to a radiator but it can be fixed easily. It is somewhat on the small size, I have not measured the amount of volume it hokd but it seems about a quart and a half maybe less maybe more. I believe I would pay the full price. Only downside is the size but it works for my project.

Looks good and It works perfectly. Fit exactly where i wanted it, the only thing I had to do was add a 1/16" vent in the lid since I'm using as a coolest expansion/overflow tank.

I installed it on a 1959 Thunderbird, which or notorious for running a bit warm. Cooling systems of the time allowed fluid to expand but would just dump it via a hose under the radiator cap. I installed this in the place of that line to collect coolant, but upon drivingnit around, this didn't allow the system to vent at all. The cap seals air tight, so there is no pushing coolant into it nor pulling it back as it cools. Removing the o-ring though allows it to vent as needed though so no biggie.

I installed this on my 1947 Mercury -it fit nice -looks good -had everything in the Kit .

The description is inaccurate. One of the pics said something about "6061 billet," well, for the price, I knew that wasn't right. Appears to be a capped extrusion. No big deal, IMO. Also said it it's anodized, well, it's painted, and I can't stand the look of aluminum paint. The hose is thin and flimsy, I'd guesstimate a 3 to 6 month lifespan. I wouldn't use it for anything, really. And whoever was on the lathe that day didn't chuck the cap square, because some of the knurling is missing. That's going drive me insane, just knowing its there. That said, it's a cheap puke tank, and it doesn't leak. I'm going to use this one, but I wouldn't buy another.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of this thing especially for the price. Used it to add to an existing coolant reservoir since the stock one would suck more coolant while running creating air pockets. This thing easy to hook up however the mounting brackets it came didn't really help or go with it. Made my own instead. Overall I think it was worth it

I got this to house blue juice for my dirty squirty pump. Its blue and shiney and everyone looks at it and is overly impressed by my blue bottle. The fact that I put blue liquid in it is a bonus because color matching stuff is important. One time I had curtains and though I loved them they didnt match. What does that make them? Awful! So pretty up under the hood with a blue bottle because no ones ever gonna see it. And that makes the shiney worth it.
