Baldwin 9BR7015-010 Reserve Contemporary Rectangular Door Bell Button in Satin Black

Clearly excellent quality; housing is hefty brass. I really like how it mounts - no screws or mounting mechanism visible. This does make it a little more challenging to install - I had to drill out a bigger hole where the wires come through so that there was room to install the button with the wire connections. But based on end results and quality I give it a five.

We really liked the simple design of this doorbell button. The fact that it did not have any screws showing made it look even nicer. Our house has white siding with all black accessories, so this color made the most sense. It is protected in that our front door is covered by our porch. I only hope the light stays working on this for a long time.Install was easy enough. All the right pieces came with it and it arrived in a timely manner. so all the service stuff, so far, was very good.

Fairly easy to install. It comes with a face plate that clips on to a metal bracket which screws directly to the surface. You must remove the button from the bracket and slide the wires through the bracket. You then mount the bracket with the screws. Then mount the face plate to the brackets. So now the wires are sticking out the face plate. From here you wire the button and push it in to the faceplateMine has small ding on the finish near the button that's hardly noticeable, not sure if I did that or if it came that way so I give it a slight mark down for durability. Otherwise nice doorbell.

This was a pain to install, but it looks great and works like a charm.

Do not buy this doorbell. First of all, the back of the button sticks out so far that it needs to be recessed into the wall. So I needed to drill into the house. Secondly, the button itself is SO cheap that after pushing it only 3 times it got completely stuck within its housing. Meaning it would continually make a circuit and the doorbell would go off nonstop. Nothing we could do could get the button back out. What a waste of money this was.

The exterior metal looks great. But the design for install can be frustrating. I work on cars and home remodels so I know how to install a simple doorbell. But this thing was a pain to install! The biggest issue I came across was the lighted button EASILY broke during install. I had to stop twice and reassemble the lighted button components because the two clamps that hold it all together do not hold very well. They're super weak and fragile. Thankfully I got it to hold and was able to baby it and got it installed. But I know if I ever need to take the doorbell off for some reason, I will need to replace it completely because it's barely holding together. If the button doesn't come apart during install this is a great doorbell.

I love this piece, best door Bell ever, the solid strong construction, no plastic crap involved. The light works great and for the first time people actually see my doorbell. Stately look I got the black matches my front door, looks incredible.

Requires approximately a 3/4" hole to sink the button flush to the surface of the trim. Very nice looking doorbell though.
