Excellent!!
This is an interesting pepper option - not quite as strong as Phu Quoc and with a distinct flavor of its own. Terrific on scrambled eggs. Fast delivery. Thanks.

I recently learned about Kampot peppercorns. I’m now officially addicted. The flavor and heat is unique and outstanding. I highly recommend you try this.

Once you switch, you won’t go back
I started using Kampot after my daughter came back from Cambodia and gave it to me as a gift. At first, I thought OK, it’s good but great? But I decided to just use it exclusively for a while. Then I tried “regular” pepper and really see what I was missing. I’ve been only buying Kampot for a few years now and it’s great. The only disappointment is when I go to fine restaurants, watch them pepper my salad with those lovely grinders, and taste the mediocre results of their efforts.

Good Pepper, But Expensive
I like pepper. I've shopped around over many years trying to make sure I had good pepper and a good pepper mill to grind it in. This Cambodian pepper has glowing reviews, so I thought I'd give it a try. It is about four times as expensive as the pepper I usually buy. And after a little experimentation, it tastes roughly the same to me. The smell of a bag is definitely better than the smell of my normal pepper, but when it comes to eating it, I can't really tell the difference. And since I think I buy good pepper, and this is roughly the same, that makes this good pepper as well. But the price tag is pretty high for something that doesn't taste better.

Great if heated first !
This kampot black pepper is very mild and has a taste that comes out when heated. Simply grinding it onto food won't have much of a flavor. I ground the pepper into warm olive oil along with other spices and cookedon medium/low beat in a small shallow pan. The flavor was excellent after heating it directly. Adding it to dishes without heating first (with the exception of frying eggs) seems like a waste of these high quality peppercorns. I haven't tried roasting them but I assume they'd be tasty for a few days after roasting.

Flavorful
Very flavorful, salty with burst of spice. The bag it came in was simply a ziplock bag equivalent, just a little thicker with label sticker that looked different than what’s shown in the picture. Over all the flavor is explosive compared to the peppercorns from Costco.
