Q: Would this work for a ktm 690 enduro r?

It will work in the 690R and it would be unlikely to create any problems, HOWEVER.... KTM specs the 10w60 for that engine so in theory they have designed the oil flow for the slightly thicker oil at high temperatures (i.e. the '60' vs the '50' in the designation). Without getting into the technical details, the 10w60 oil has about 30% more viscosity at VERY high temperatures, say 100 degrees C, than the 10w50. If you ride for prolonged periods at high speed, in high temp environments, or at prolonged low speed where the bike is prone to boiling over then it is very likely that paying the extra $5 for the 10w60 as the KTM engineers intended is worth it. I don't think that one is. Most 4 liter have a red picture and a screw top and most sellers indicate 4 liter
