How do you clean the SL 6500

No reason to really clean them if your asking about sharpening it takes quite a while to dull the blade then you can use a sharpening stone or a grinder.

What are the handles made out of ?

They appear to be a vinyl coated lightweigt metal. They are not wood.

I need them to trim off my Coconut palm seed pods. Will these be strong enough?

Yes, they will cut it....but if the branch is dry, it's a lot harder to cut. If you cut them green they cut much easier. (I have The Same Palms) A. Morgan Clermont Fl.
