Braun Sensian 7 Forehead 3-in-1 Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer

This thing is great. You do have to get very close to the forehead to get accurate readings. One tip for everyone - when I first turned mine on it just kept saying “ERR” and I couldn’t even see the default screen the manual referenced. The troubleshooting guide had no mention of “ERR” displaying on startup, only during temperature readings. I was about to pack it up for return and decided to take the batteries out and toggle this small tiny switch in the battery compartment from F to C. Magically it turned on without an error. Then I took the batteries out and flipped it back to F (for Fahrenheit). Voila! It now powers up fine every time. Not sure if the switch shifts in transit and wasn’t fully locked in to either F or C to start or if indeed what I did is the only way to get it out of the “ERR” state. I hope this helps someone, since it looked like two other reviewers had the same problem and were thinking of returning it. We’re now very happy with this device!

Funciona muy bien, solo para niños

My husband has been sick so we decided to buy this to keep up with his temperature easier than having to disinfect the oral thermometer every time. After this arrived, we tested this out compared to the oral thermometer and this thermometer was 3 degrees lower than what the oral thermometer read every time. I can understand why this went on sale for $10 now. Just bought a piece of useless junk. Not to mention it being extremely dangerous for someone who is actually sick and fighting an infection. Do not depend on this thermometer for an accurate reading!

I am not sure how accurate this is. As I have tested it against a normal mouth thermometer and ear thermometer. Sometimes this device gives an odd reading like 35 or 34, etc. It is a bit too low. All forehead thermometers have some issues, but this one is clearly more expensive and I would think the quality would be better. The name should mean quality, and I think that is lacking a little. I am not sure if I would buy another one or not. I have two of them, one for work, at a restaurant and one at home, bought for the pandemic issues. I do think it is faster than other thermometers though, and is useful for non-touch temperature checks, but sometimes more than one reading is necessary. The device is ergonomic. It does read F and C the switch to change is inside the battery compartment in the middle. Very small switch. This is a plus as in different countries we need different units of measurement. Only the US uses such an out of date hard to use system. Anyway, both are available. Readout is clear, and I like it overall, but accuracy could probably be improved.

Me parece bune producto, de buena calidad y muy facil y practico de utilizar, aunque no es tan directo porque hay que seleccionar el rango de edad para ajustar la respuesta de color de la pantalla en funcion de la edad, ideal para bebes menores a 3 años, tambien tiene un ajuste para medir la temperatura del agua y los alimentos, adicinalmente este modelo es mas esconomico que otros aunque en teoria tienen la misma precicion y calidad que otros modelos de la misma marca con menos funciones. supongo que es una estrategia de mercado de la marca. Igualmente hay que tener en cuenta que estos termometros tiene una desviacion de mas o menos 0.5 grados C con respecto a los termometros de contacto pero es un sacrificio de precicion a favor de la comodidad y la velocidad. igual no estari de mas tener un segundo termometro de contacto para casos criticos, cosa que me estoy planteando. De todos modos lo acabo de comprar y tal vez actualice este comentario despues de usarlo un poco mas.

Doesn't work. Package arrived missing the batteries, their place in the box was empty. Reads 35. 5 degrees, that is not normal temperature. Maybe Needs factory calibration.
