I'm impressed with this test gear to accurately weed out bad caps or prove them in perfect condition. It's a good value, well built, with long battery life, and long lead length for electronics and audio repairs. Very easy to use.

This meter is FAST! Almost fully automatic, it zeros and calibrates itself in half a second when you power it up. Then its up to you to start grabbing capacitors as fast as you want with the tweezers. Works great on SMD components too. It gives audible beeps based on the reading and once get familiar with capacitys and the meters scale, I won't even have to look at the meter before moving on to the next cap. As a business, doing electronics repair and custom design, this SAVES TIME AND MAKES ME MONEY! WILL PAY FOR ITSELF!

The tweezers are hard wired into the unit and so you cannot use flying test leads e.g. froma multimeter with this unit. You are therefore unable to reach both terminals of any reasonably large capacitor or ones with axial leads. Why no banana plugs for the test leads to provide more flexibility. Also no screen so you have to interpret a bunch of beeps which looks like a real headache to me but I never even got that far with it. The unit is being returned.

Seems to work great, Haven't found anything I don't like, but would be perfect if it had interchangeable test leads for different applications and ease of use .
