Gorgeous, just the right heft, a lovely variety of nibs... this pen was the perfect final touch for my book signing! It looked authentic, felt great in my hand, and with a little practice, allowed me to write beautifully, too! I got a lot of fantastic comments about the pen that night. The ink did creep up over the silver and stained my fingers with ink, but as I have used many calligraphy pens in the past, I was prepared for that. I am 100% satisfied. I recommend this pen to anyone who like a bit of drama and/or flair when they write longhand!

I'm always sceptical about buying other people's gifts off amazon cause as we know, sometimes they can suck. BUT this feather pen was not only bigger ((ex. I have average sized hands for a woman about 5.5-6in from tip of my middle finger to my palm, and the pen was about 4or so inches past my finger)), and more Detailed than I expected...its was BEAUTIFUL. My father has arthritis in his hands and can hardly use his hands for his artistry and calligraphy, so I gave him this gift "to think of me" as it sits on his desk..he cried, I cried..it was a total cry baby moment. The red color was vibrant, it was sturdy and so much more than I expected for the price!! Would 100% buy again!!

I got this for my 9 yr old son as a 4th grade graduation gift. Well with in my budget and so happy with it. He loved it! It is beautiful and easy to use. I was supper impressed with the quality and how well it worked. Hes been writing letters to his friends and having a blast. Truly stunning and he thinks it looks like something from Harry Poter, so bonus!

This pen is absolutely beautiful and the packaging is truly amazing. I would definitely purchase this as a nice gift for someone. The stand it comes with is very nice and absolutely a must for a pen like this. I bought this to write our Christmas invitations and found the pen difficult to hold because of the metal filigree. This was also an absolute mess honestly, it wrote like a dream and did not leave splotches on the paper but I got ink all over my hands because it was impossible to tell if I was just dipping the pen tip or further up into the ink well. This ink stains very badly! I scrubbed my hands over and over, tried to use alcohol, we were all out of acetone but I would've gone for that next. It's the next day and my fingers are still black! So yeah, if you intend to use this be very careful to make sure you are only dipping the pens tip or you will end up like me lol

I gave it as a gift to my husband in another state so I haven't seen it but he likes it. He says it seems nice and easy to use. He notes it has a different weight than a traditional quill because it is plastic but a little practice and it was fine. He isn't one for plastic ao it must be pretty good if he likes it anyway.

This set is an absolutely wonderful piece of equipment. Albeit I have rather large hands and where I hold the quill I often end up with ink on my fingers, I feel as if it adds to the charm of using this. I do, however, wish the stationary paper had something other than "Merry Christmas" and was more of a universal piece. Still, overall, the quality is outstanding.

Pretty pen, like the extra nibs and the holder and ink, and even the stationery was a nice surprise. What I don’t like is the advertisement in the presentation box and what looks like, and pardon my bluntness, a booger on the stickers that were in with the stationery. These would be the reasons I would not gift another set without careful examination first.

This set is absolutely gorgeous. unfortunately, I was struggling to get the nibs to work and thought they were broken. I did some research online and found out that lefties need to buy special nibs. Being a lefty, I’m very frustrated that I didn’t know this (probably my fault for not researching ahead of time). The main nib works just fine and I use it for letter and journal writing. It was worth the purchase just for the one nib. It looks beautiful on my desk!
