Sturdy slow cooking pot for traditional curries
The chatti is well made and looks strong. I seasoned it : 1. By applying a paste of turmeric powder and salt in it and keeping it out in the sun for five days. 2. Then from the sixth day by filling it with water drained after washing rice for seven days 3. After this I filled hot kanji water ( water after draining steamed rice made in an open vessel) for three days. 4. Then I cooked some sambar in it yesterday night. It turned out yummy. But the aroma would not leave the vessel even after washing with hot water. I guess I need to season it once before using it again. 5. Remember to always fill the vessel with liquid before putting it on the lighted stove. Keep the flame medium to low. 6. It is a pleasure to cook in this pot and the food feels so real and delicious. It is worth the effort which does not feel like one if you make time and get involved in the process. Then it feels therapeutic.

Good craftmanship but Expensive
Nicely packed. Took a long time for delivery. The vessel is good but I felt it was really expensive. As I needed it badly and there's no option in Punjab to procure the same I had to buy online. I wish it was cheaper I would have ordered more stone utensils and definitely bought a pair.

I am changing my rating of this company from 1 star to 5 star, purely for their business practise. I had given a 1 star as the product broke. Return period was over and Amazon rejected my request. I contacted the seller, they without much effort, not only shared how to use the product and what could have resulted in it breaking, but shipped out a replacement at their own cost. Not many brands follow this practice. They deserve their due purely for what they offer.

Damaged
Had to order twice but still recieved really bad quality product , which were damaged both times with cracks on them .Also both the times we recived two different sizes which was confusing.

Authentic Exquisitely Handcrafted Cookware
The Product is really amazing, it cooks faster and better than any steel or aluminium cookware. Easily cooks sufficient food for 3-4 people, medium size would be much better for 2 persons. I only seasoned it for six days with water obtained after rinsing rice, pouring and changing it everyday; and on the 7th day boiled rice water in it. And now it is working without any problem, contrary to what people say i think it is better to avoid any oil when using clay or stone cookware as it may clog the pores and reduce efficiency. For tadka use a separate vessel like a small cast iron kadai. So overall this soapstone cookware is the best way to cook tasty meals, without worrying about harmful metals like lead, chromium, cad., AL. etc. leaching into food from stainless steel, ceramic, aluminium vessels. Thanks to all the artisans who are preserving indian traditional knowledge and are making such amazing products.
