SWT-12S4 1500W Max (300W RMS) Single 12" Sealed Subwoofer Tube Enclosure

I bought my 12" Alpine sub for VW Passat. First was 8" 150W one :-( Alpine Fits perfectly with extra room left in any dimention. Quick easy connection with banana plugs. In my case plugs not so secure in place. Had disconnection issue. Always mount and secure sub to the floor before use. Do not let it roll in the trunk for max performance. Or operating at all lol Sub very boomy on max. I would recomment installation of Bass knob too for volume adjustment. Tube subs Not situable for quick bass. Like in Techno music. Pop music sounds wonderfull. Bass Very deep and enjoyfull with right music.

This thing hits hard. I have it hooked up to a Rockville that pushes 360 watts rms. I tuned the amp to the subwoofer and when the bass drops you feel your insides shaking and it almost takes your breath away! My windshield shakes so hard my rearview mirror won't stay in position! I do have the gain turned down on my amp slightly to match the recommended rms watts of the subwoofer. For the price and the quality of sound I would definitely recommend to friends, family and neighbors or anyone else asking "WHAT DO YOU HAVE IN THERE?!"

Perfect fit in the opening behind the rear seat in my 2013 Fort Taurus. The bass response is amazing, pushed by a 300 watts (bridged) amp. I had a 12” Rockford Fosgate sub in a shallow box (see picture), and it was weak and a disappointing. The Alpine 12” sub is amazingand a great deep pounding bass experience. Update: Oct 2021; Sold the Taurus, so I transferred the same setup to my 2016 Toyota Avalon. Fits perfect and still sounds amazing.

Great sub for the money, if your looking to get into some great sound for a great price this is the one!!

This subwoofer has a lot of bass! So much I had to get 10” which also a great value for the amount of bass you get.

Great sound, gonna buy another one for my other SUV. Easy to install.

Nothing to dislike. For the money that I payed. Everything was perfect!

As you can see from the images, the subwoofer screws were removed/replaced prior to me receiving it. I’m sure this thing was refurbished and packaged like it was new, and the way it sounds like the subwoofer is about to die already. The setup is also cumbersome; they provide two straps with some wall screws & brackets. You have to basically mount the brackets PERFECTLY to get this sub from rolling around and the straps felt flimsy for something constantly kicking out bass…. Speaking of bass, it’s not enough to warrant the price. I moved it around to several locations (trunk, back seat, even the front passenger seat aimed at the driver’s seat) and I just wasn’t impressed at all. I expected better from Alpine but this thing is a dud. The fact that you also have to pay to return it sealed the deal for me. Save yourself the trouble and go with another brand.

Don’t get this my broski was leaning on it in the backseat and he crushed it. It is made of cardboard speaker is good. I ripped that out and put in a different box, banging.
