I absolutely love this garlic press! It makes chopping and mincing garlic so quick and easy. The handle is comfortable to hold, and it doesn’t take much pressure to crush the garlic. I also really like that it’s made with stainless steel, so it feels sturdy and durable. It’s much easier to clean than a traditional garlic press, and the extra tools that come with it are very useful. Such a simple kitchen gadget, but it saves me so much time when cooking. Definitely worth buying, and I highly recommend it!

TL;DR This is a handy device as long as you use it a certain way to reduce cleanup, are willing to prep your garlic more than product suggests for consistent results, keep all these separate parts together in your kitchen, and need to process at least a few cloves but much less than what you’d use a food processor for. First off, it works much better than the garlic presses (that extrudes into paste-like minced pieces) that I’ve owned. I can go through garlic without having to re-feed it like I had to with my previous presses. ==If you like that chunky paste-like consistency, this won’t be the device for you as the holes are large enough to make “near fine” chopped pieces. Now this device isn’t perfect. I haven’t nailed a pattern yet but I’ve had difficulty for some garlic cloves to be “chopped” with the rocker. Whether it’s due to a clove size, shape, age, outer skin toughness/moisture level, “smoothness” or a combination of those, it just mushes it and spreads out under the rocker instead of pushed through the holes. ==To have better overall results, before using the rocker, slice the clove in half lengthwise. Using the rocker on the sliced side seems to give the holes a better grip as it gets pressed through. It isn’t what the video shows, but either they enhanced the “grip” of those cloves (maybe by making skin deep cuts) or they had “perfect cloves” for the device demo. Whatever the case, not all cloves will work perfectly with this device and may need one extra step if that’s the case. My first point still stands even with the extra slice step. Now for my major gripes: ==Cleaning it still is a pain even with the brush. More often than not, I have to use the back end to pop the pieces out of the holes. Even with the sink spray nozzle, I usually can’t force all the pieces out. (Watery mess all over the sink though) To minimize clean up, I have to be accurate and go through all the garlic I need with as little of the rocker as possible. Basically, whatever time this rocker saves from manually chopping a few cloves easily goes into cleaning it. * A previous garlic press I owned had a grid of cylinders to push garlic out of the holes and cleans itself quite efficiently. Wish this rocker had something like that. With this in mind, there is a tipping point where using a food processor is more efficient and cleans easier. ==This device pretty much requires all the other parts to function and be maintained efficiently but doesn’t have a way to keep them together. Sure the garlic “blade” can be substituted with the back of your knife but that brush/pick is needed to clean it. So if you lose it, you’ll have to keep toothpicks and maybe a toothbrush handy. Be sure to consider your general needs and whether the benefits outweigh the detriments before buying.

This little item is an absolute gem. I was never so happy to get rid of my old garlic presses – one that I’ve had for more years than I can remember and one that belonged to my mother-in-law that I inherited when she passed – and that one was really old. I hated using them. I don’t have a great deal of hand strength so they were a pain in the butt. And chopping up garlic just never appealed to me. So when I saw a cooking video on YouTube and saw this thing being used, I was very intrigued. I love that Amazon has almost everything you could ever imagine – I went right to Amazon and here it was. I was delighted. This new toy for my kitchen arrived to me in a few days. I love that it came with a garlic peeler. I did not know there was such a thing. But there is and it’s fun to use and easy. And this rocker that minces the garlic for you is so quick and easy as to not to be believed. This also came with a little scraper to scrape the garlic into whatever you’re cooking and off the surface of the mincer. It’s sturdy – and while it looks small when it comes to you, it actually is just the perfect size for hands, both male and female. My husband loves it as much as I do when he cooks. And since I got it, I cook with a lot more garlic – mainly because it’s so easy I want to use the mincer. Before- recipes that usually called for garlic I would ignore or use some garlic powder. Not any more!!! This item washes up beautifully in the dishwasher as does the peeler, the little scraper tool, and the press. You cannot ask for better than that!!

We bought this garlic press, because my husband is always cooking with garlic. Thought it would make cutting up the garlic easier and it does, but it's not the sharpest, and it's a pain to clean. Quality is ok and does make it quicker.

It makes chopping garlic so easy in to clean up is next to nothing. The peeler is unbelievable. I wish I would’ve bought this a long time ago.

I cook with a lot of garlic. I end up throwing out of a lot of cloves because they dry out. I was skeptical of this gadget but hopeful. It works great! I minced about 2 cups added olive oil to glass jars and now have ready minced garlic in my refrigerator. Easy clean up. Nice grip.

Great garlic press! Doesn’t mash the garlic like I’m used to so it leaves”chunks” according to my son. The “chunks” would be the size of a grain of rice so it’s not big at all. But it was easy enough to use that even my son wanted to try it.

Well, we LOVE garlic here, and grow our own. I think this device is really cool and will probably work much better with the coming harvest of FRESH garlic. Right now, we're using up last season's harvest, and some of the bulbs/cloves are a tad tough. They don't crush very well. In a levered unit, it never seemed to be an issue. So, will have to update when the new harvest is ready. On a side note, the included silicone garlic peeler sleeve works incredibly well! Pop a clove in, roll on the countertop with a little added hand pressure, and the skin falls right off. Love that! For now, we recommend this.

It works, but it takes a bit of pressure to 'rock' the garlic press through the garlic. The accessories that came with it were useless and ended up in the trash. Might be a good product for someone new at cooking. I think I'll stick with smashing the Cloves with my knife.

Wonderful gadget. Given to family member who likes to cook. She doesn't use it. Sigh.
