My parrot loves these perches, they don't hurt his feet like other ones. Like that they are curved and the grit is not completely around the perch like others. That length of no grit on perch gives his feet a break of constant rough surface to stand on and where the grit is helps trim his nails. This is a nice perch, just watch for which way the bars on your cage runs, I could not get end of perch with groove that fits on bar of cage on bar, my cage is different. I put the end of perch through the space between bars and then tightened the end cap down against the bars, still works great. This by far is the best perch I found over the years of having birds.

It's colorful, made well & sturdy my bird seems quite interested in it,& went on it that night.

With a Dremel, I was able to cut slots for the vertical bars. Why the manufacturer did not do this to begin with is beyond me.

My cage has vertical bars. This only fits horizontal bars or bars that would be too large for suggested cockatiel sized bars. The small is the size that is recommended for a cockatiel. To set this up in my cage it wouldn’t sit properly, with the smooth part on top and the pumice part where their nails sit. My bars are too narrow and heavy duty to flex them to fit the large plastic pieces through them. I wanted to like this and I’m bummed it can’t be adjusted to change it. I tried seeing if I could turn it at all or separate it so I could reattach it myself since I already took the label off it. I haven’t tried a lot of force yet to see if I can separate it but with the force I used I can tell it’s a well made perch. I wanted something that would help the nails and be gentle on feet. This promised to be that. They should have 2 styles for vertical and horizontal bars. With the style of the attachment I’m actually surprised they don’t have a vertical or horizontal attachment.

This is a good perch to have in each cage to gently file a bird’s nails.. just be sure to get the right circumference for your bird so that the nails touch the sandy sides. ..(the top where the claw sits is smooth so as not to damage the underside of the claw..) Of course there should be a variety of types of perches to exercise the bird’s feet! Also, they last a long time.. gently clean w/a soft damp sponge & replace as necessary..

I love these. They are great at keeping my guys nails filed. However, they’re not adorable. He always manages to break the way they attached to the cage and then I end up throwing them out and having to buy new ones. The plastic attachment just doesn’t work for large birds. Please send me something to reattach them. I have thrown so many out. I have purchased both on here and directly through their website.

Great product

This XS perch has a smaller diameter than the other XS perch from this same brand. I would not want a larger diameter perch for my canary, to make sure his nails actually reach the grinder part. I like the top is smooth to protect his foot. My cage has both horizontal and vertical bars, so I didn’t have an issue attaching it. It feels very secure. It’s not his favorite perch, but he does use it, so hopefully this will help keep his nails under control now that I’ve cut them to a better length.

Our Galah is hardly ever off this Perch, he loves it! Trims his beak regularly and happily. Great Product and highly recommend

Is a good size for a conure...much larger than I thought and was worried at first but it works great and is good quality
