Well made and sturdy... holds a lot of brass casing and dries them in a short amount of time.

I’ve had this unit for a few weeks now and have used it several times to dry brass casings after cleaning them in an ultrasonic cleaner. Quick tumble in some media after that and I’ve had consistent results. Clean and shiny brass every time.

I purchased the Hornady case dryer about a month ago - I did not have any brass ready for prep until this morning. I opened the box removed the new case dryer from the plastic bag, read the directions and placed 100 freshly polished 338 Lapua Mag. cases in the top 2 trays. I set the temp and time then hit ON button. Machine turned on and everything seemed perfect. The machine ran for approximately 10 minutes and shut off. I reviewed the directions again and reset the temp and time, the machine shut down in seconds. I tried a 3rd time and the machine shutdown immediately after I touched the on button. I hope I got the only bad one Hornady made - I'm trying to get the Amazon Seller or Amazon to stand behind the product they sold me. I like the machine, see-through trays, timer, on/off switch with extra large top tray. I want to replace this machine with one that works, at this time Amazon and the Seller eCop have not replied to my emails. I'll update the review when/if I receive a working replacement. Update - the Seller eCop and Amazon will not make this right and replace the defective Hornady case dryer.

Good product

It works well but the plastic is a bit flimsy. 9mm and 380 cases can get stuck in the grooves. Keeps the wife from bitchin about using the oven.

I know I could have dried cases and bullets in the oven after wet tumbling, but it was worth it to me to have them dried next to the tumbler and separator. The parts dryer is simple and works well. I have dried maybe 10-15 5 lb loads of 30-06 cases and bullets pulled from unfired cartridges.

Dislike - Nothing Likes - Ease of use, Automatic timer, Held almost 700 9mm cases the first time I used it, Done in 45 minutes Overall - Wonderful product

I like it, I'm not a huge fan of the inflated price in contrast to the undoubtedly low cost of materials/assembly, however given that ammunition reloading is a niche market I'll overlook the inflated price as it works well and I do enjoy the temp/timer settings.
