DOGS LOVE THE Flavor
My pups love this food.....when the food comes in the mail the dogs can smell it through the box and they will rip into the box on their own if i do not pull out the bag myself asap.i have been feeding my pups Canidae foods and i have been really happy with the food.I have three dogs and two of my three dogs eat this food (they both are sensitive stomachs and allergies, and they do great on this food.the only reason my third dog does not eat this food is because he is on a special Really low fat diet due to his chronic pancreatitis.i do recommend this brand all flavors. (my dogs like the Lamb the best.

Good Option for Dogs with Allergies
This was the only food that worked for my dog with horrible allergies. Iโm so glad we found this option as it was much less expensive than some of the vet prescribed diets that were the next option for her.

Itโs what my dogs love
First of all, itโs weird to evaluate flavor on a dog food, when I have no plans to taste it. That being said, my dogs do like it. I have a sensitive stomach dog and she does fine on this. I do not appreciate how many crumbs are in the bag. This is not a Amazon problem but even from the local pet store. Itโs a manufacturer problem. Food is small enough for my 10lb JRT and fine for my 80lb Australian shepherd/border collie mix. Itโs all they have eaten for about 5 years now.

Not really sure what is up
I would of given 5 stars but here's the deal. I changed my dogs (5 dogs, of all different breeds and ages) food from Rachel ray to Canidae. They were at the end of the bag and then my daughter's boyfriend took our big dog to the mountain for a hike. (was in the higher temps and I personally wouldn't of taken her up there because of the temp, but you know kids.....they know more then us any day of the week ) Anyway, that dog was eating and acting ok til later that night. She started throwing up and wasn't playing around at all. (only 2 and she is usually playing all day) Then in the morning of the next day I noticed diarrhea and more vomit. I got very concerned and took her to the vet. (rest of the dogs were acting ok.) The vet looked her over and said it could be the food. (Which didn't make sense to me because they had gone thru 40lbs of a 44lbs bag already) I let the vet know about the trip to the mountain and he said well it would be rare that it is stomach flu, but could be. Sent me home to watch her and to allow lots of water and rest. (temps were reaching way over the 100 mark) Next day the youngest dog (7 months old) started vomiting and diarrhea as well and the first dog wasn't eating and playing at all still. Did more research and read lots of articles for about 4 hours. Came up with the biggest dog had to of caught the stomach flu, but still had doubts. The following day two of the middle size dogs started. Which one of them was on steroids for SLO and figured that is why he was still eating a little. I had to take in the other one because he is the oldest and is 9 and had many problems when he came to our home. I got blood work done pancreatitis test and left out the x-ray because I didn't think this had to do with something that got stuck in him. Plus he was getting dehydrated so they gave him a IV pack, we waited there for the test results to know where to go from there. Everything came back normal. The doctors had no idea what the problem was. By this time the two first dogs were drinking water and still were not interested in eating. Next day had to take the same dog back to the vet to get more fluids and they gave me anti-vomit meds and Peptic AC. My littlest dog was not showing any signs. Still normal with eating and playing. I started thinking it was the dog food so I went to basic's for their food. Chicken breast (organic, no salt, any additives at all) and mixing it in with their dog food. They ate around the dog food and ate the chicken. (and the chicken was grated) Next day I added carrots (cooked) with the chicken (grated together) still with the dog food. They TRIED to eat around it but they did get some of the dog food. Now the three of the four had come out of it and the littlest started with the symptoms. They got tired of the chicken by the fourth day and I changed over to ground beef and still mixed in the carrots and one day added 2 cups of rice for carbs. I had to start grating the moisten dog food into the mix because I knew they need their vitamin value. After I notice that the last (littlest dog) dog was done with vomiting, stopped all except the dog food (comes dry and I add hot water to moisten). Now it's been 2 1/2 weeks since the first dog showed symptoms and all the dogs SEEM to be ok, except the oldest dog that is pickier then hell and eats only a little a day. (which I think has to do with it being sooooo flippin hot out). Here's the thing.......No one knows why or what happen. And everyone has opinions like everyone has A**@#$%, but I have no idea if this is from the old bag of food or the stomach flu......what I do know is I wanted my dogs on what seemed to be the best dog food out there and so I changed. Now this all could be coincidence that the dogs got stomach flu at the same time we got to the end of a bag or it is from the food. If in fact anything happens to my dogs in the time frame of this end of the bag of food, I'll definitely know and will be making an update on my review.

Best Quality Food At A Reasonable Price !
I Love This Food & More Importantly, My Dogs LOVE This Food ! As an Owner/Handler and Trainer of Rescued German Shepherds for Decades of My Life, I am Always Concerned with The Very Best Quality Foods for This Breed's Extremely Sensitive Digestive System. I'm also Concerned with Not Breaking The Bank in Order to Provide a Nutritious, High Quality, Vitamin, Mineral and Protein Balanced Diet. My Dogs have Consistently Been Very Happy with This Kibble Over Several Other Top Brands at Much Higher Costs. Not Only are They Satisfied with The Apparent Great Taste, (They Actually Love It, Unlike So Many Others I've Purchased in The Past), but Their Clean, Fortified, Healthy Skin & Glistening Coats are Never a Source of Dry Itchiness So Commonly Found with Dry Kibble Diets. This Food is So Full of Everything Good for My Dogs, that They Truly Do Eat Less because of Filling Up With The Essentials Instead of The Low Grade Fillers So Often Used in Many Other Well Known Dog Food Brands, which Leave Your Dog Feeling Hungry Just Hours After Mealtime. Cost for Cost - I am Spending LESS To Feed My Beautiful Dogs This Great High Quality, Delicious, All Life Stages Canidea Brand than Other Owners I've Convinced to Feed with Canidea All Life Stages Kibble ! many People Only Consider The Cost of The Bag of Food. If They Find It to be Too Expensive, They Won't Even Consider The Very Real Facts of How Much LESS Food is Required when It is of Exceptional Quality and The Tremendous Savings on Veterinary Care due to a Diet That is Nutritionally Sound and Beneficial in A Multitude of Ways. It is Clear and Easy to Compare with The Feeding Guides Listed on Every Bag of Dog Food Showing Significant Savings in Using Less Kibble with Good Quality Food. Much Less Expensive, Poor Quality Ingredient Food Requires More Cups of Food Per Serving/Per Dog's Weight & Activity. Canidea Really Does Fill My Dogs Need and Desire for Feeling Satisfied, with Much Less Quantity. The Day I Switched from All Other Brands I've Used in The Past has Definitely Become The Best Day for My Dogs ! and Me ! I have Less Trips to The Vet Now for Ear Infections, Skin Rashes and Overall Performance Lethargy and Listless Behavior. I Attribute This All to Feeding This Incredibly Well Balanced, Nutritious Brand of Kibble. I'm also Thrilled with This Family Owned, Compassionate Company's Remarkable Track Record for having Only 1 Incident Causing a Vo!unitary Recall back in 2012 with No Other Issues Before or Since ! I Want The Very Vest for My Family of Devoted, Loving Dogs. I Found It in Canidea All Life Stages Brand Dry Kibble. Great Food for My Dogs. Reasonably Priced for Me. disappointed
I was very surprized at the size of this product which I am otherwise familiar with and have used for years. My original review was not allowed as it may have used a word that rhymed with pram. Please read the description very very carefully.
