They're ear drops. Shake the bottle, open the lid and pour drops directly into the animals ear canal. Keep their head tilted to the side while you apply, then close their ear and rub it for a minute or so to make sure it got all the way into the ear canal (before they start shaking their head). You just need a few drops every day for a week or two. My cat's ears cleared within about 5 days.

How is this compared to the Zymox otic hc in the red bottle for ear infections?

The red text version of this product has double the hydrocortisone, so ultra strength itch and ache relief essentially. I personally use the .5% because it works so well I haven’t found the need to spend the extra. We use a lot of this as my pup has a lot of allergies and frequently gets ear infections.

Is this an authroized dealer?

I don't know the definition of an "authorized dealer". I do know that I use this on my poodle's ears after he is groomed. That has prevented ear infections that usually come after grooming. I don't wipe it out of his ears (like they recommend). I just squirt a healthy amount into his ear canal and the red areas in front on the canal. It works ! I love this product.

is the 0.5 or 1% better?

I read cats are a little more sensitive to hydrocortisone so I use the .5 solution but I've used both and they seem to be just as effective in soothing the ears. I always make sure to wipe the outside of the ear with a cloth after using so they don't ingest too much of it when grooming.
