Better than most, but the description needs to be updated!!
To start, I only bought this because it said full frequency- and it's not, the actual frequeny band is 88.1FM to 107.9FM, with worldwide usage as it does pick up even FM frequencies. My Crown Vic and Silverado both have 87.5 to 87.9 FM which almost nobody uses which is what I was looking for. On the other hand it is a keeper. The build is solid and simple, and on the plus side it has a USB port on the cigarette plug and a gold plug on the 3.5mm plug. Volume is fairly louder than others, clarity is a step above others, and VERY easy to use. See how long it'll last....

If only I could give this product zero stars! Received this on January 26th and went to use it today (Feb 6th) and it's not working! I've only used it a handful of times. Wish I could get a replacement or my money back! Otherwise, don't bother!

Very useful with older cars or older players
This does exactly what it says it does. I've used other FM transmitters and this is the best so far. It's simple. You power it through your car's 12-volt auxiliary (once known as "cigarette lighter"). You plug it into your audio player (phone, iPod, whatever). You find an FM frequency that isn't used locally and set the transmitter and the radio to that frequency. You're ready to listen. What are the use cases for this? First, with an older car that has no auxiliary audio input or Bluetooth system. Second, with an audio source that doesn't have Bluetooth. What are the limitations? You get FM quality sound, not CD sound, but it's still good, especially for car listening. Sometimes you have to hunt for an FM frequency that's really clear (especially so if you're in a major radio market). If you're on a long inter-city road trip, you'll maybe have to retune a couple of times (not an issue here in Hawai`i, but if you drive from New York to L.A. --- you get the idea).FM transmitters are hardly a new idea, but it's nice to see the concept done well and at an attractive price. This review was based on a sample from the manufacturer.

Highly recommended. No problems; easy to work with.
Works great; I plugged it into cigarette adapter, checked AM bands on the radio for an untouched band (to avoid crossover), and set the FM Transmitter to that channel. I can plug it into my phone, tablet, family's devices, and even an old mp3 player. We were going to use a bluetooth version, but are glad we picked this one because its just simple and easy for everyone to use. Also, this has a usb charging port on it, to allow you to slow-charge your device. It may not be powerful (1 amp is my guess), but it's better than not having an option at all. I like options.
