Great diagnostic tool
I'm using this unit in a home woodshop primarily to keep an eye on particulate matter from sanding and cutting, VOCs from finishing materials, and to monitor how well my dust collection and filters are working. Important to note, this is not an industrial hygiene tool. I find it useful and accurate to assess trends, but am still using ventilation and PPE. I have found it to be pretty responsive in the way that I would expect, spiking shortly after sanding and lingering or dropping depending on distance from the sensor and whether dust collection is running. I also have a second one, and side by side comparisons are very reasonable (some variance is normal in any measurement, but PM2.5 is usually within 1-2 ug/m3 of each other for example). The WiFi capability is very nice for remote measurements, and the app is great about allowing you to download the raw data for recording or analyzing further. Battery life is okay, but you really don't want to have to run it unplugged for more than an hour or so. It can last a few hours but if it's somewhere unplugged that long it usually means I've forgotten about it. One thing to note is that the HCHO and VOC sensors are hyper-sensitive to alcohol vapors, so if you are using rubbing alcohol or open a can of shellac anywhere near it the readings will skyrocket and remain saturated until you do several complete air changes or move the sensor. Overall I find it really useful, with reasonable expectations that should be the case for any analytical measurement tool.

Wont connect to wifi
I've tried many times to connect it to my wifi. I used a 2.5Ghz, and put in everything through the app but get a configuration failed. Their website even shows the same issues with the product. Either they do not care about their customers or they made this design in the worst way possible. One review points out that there's no connection to the device outside of wifi so there's no way for the device to get the wifi password... Typically products like this have their own network that you get on then give the password to it, but this is not the case. It's simply a non-functional device. The sensors seem to work but require you to first calibrate it by putting it outside. I hope you do not have a contaminated outside area! Otherwise this method is totally faulty. I suppose it also re-calibrates overtime so you may need to periodically leave it outside to adjust. Stupidly too the battery life is only 3 hours but you need to leave it out for 6 so I hope you have an extension cord or a battery backup. Device is poorly designed and thought out. Suggest buying something else. Too bad that it has the broadest set of sensors on the market for a good price. But you pay for what you get in this case. So I have to return it and pass on it. My suggestions to the manufacturer is to make sure the calibration process is done in factory or it's not worth anyone's time since it could be faulty or done wrong. The WIFI needs to connect without any issues. The methodology for this product is totally wrong. Battery life needs to be >> than the calibration process which shouldn't even exist. 3hrs is not long enough. For essentially a paper weight it could easily be heavier and have a battery that lasts about a week.

manufacturer is *above and beyond* Once set up on WiFi, meter is very helpful
my review is for M10i [monitors AQI, PM2.5, HCOC, TVOC (with WiFi)] This meter helped me provide critical data to my landlord, doctors, city about a difficult situation where my neighbors' illicit activity severely impacted my health, but was otherwise difficult to quantify and verify. It's been invaluable. I use Temtop's app on an iPhone, and have used three different WiFi setups. I 100% recommend reaching out to the manufacturer's team when you encounter difficulty connecting, they have been exceptionally helpful, and wow, I ended up with a lot of questions, and they have been consistently wonderful in helping me find the solutions I desperately needed. It can take time to attach this meter to WiFi, but here is what I learned: โข have all your phone's permissions set allow the Temtop app to do what it needs to do โข have set your WiFi network & router permissions set allow this meter to connect to your 2.4 GHz WiFi โข Use 2.4 GHz WiFi, not 5 GHz WiFi. Temporarily hide or disable everything except 2.4 GHz. Call your ISP for help if needed, and permanently blended WiFi routers won't work. โข Temtop's amazing support folks recommended that I temporarily disable all but one of my mesh routers on my network while I connected my meter to my WiFi. This worked! Meter automatically re-connects to WiFi after either meter or router are restarted. Temtop's app exports the M10i meter's numerical data as an excel spreadsheet if you ask it to :) The most frequent output is 1 reading per minute. The app's graphs are wonderful and you can zoom in to time/amplitude easily. It's a very helpful and cost-efficient meter, and has made my life significantly safer, given the situation I needed to be able to monitor.

Love the product! Accurate and simple but poor WiFi reconnection and lacking reading material
I really like this product. The unboxing was a lot of fun and itโs super simple to read and set up. I only have a couple of issues: The first issue is with the connectivity to the WiFi. It keeps disconnecting and then I canโt remember how to try and reconnect without removing the device and setting it up again. I tried searching for the issue online and in their help guide but was unable to find an answer. The second issue is with the lack of reading material provided. I wish there was some more easy reading material on why certain readings are bad/good, what each reading means and likely causes. To me, these are easy fixes that shouldnโt cost much money to improve but will make a big difference in the user experience. maybe Iโm just missing easy solutions but, as it stands, thatโs my opinion of the product.

Cannot reconnect to app after a few years
At some point, you will be unable to connect the device to your mobile app any more. Pretty sure its a design glitch, software or hardware or both. Plus the documentation was confusing. It was working for a few years but can be frustrating when you need to reconnect, especially to a new network. My summary is if you once get it working and dont need to move in the next few years, it can be a good addition to have. Otherwise, save your money and time and dont bother attempting to reconnect. I already spent hours troubleshooting after a recent move. (ofc disregard if you dont care the mobile app connection).

App Will Display Data From Two Monitors; Monitors Must Stay Plugged In
This TEMTOP M10i WIFI AIR QUALITY MONITOR (for PM2.5 TVOC AQI HCHO; Real Time Data Recording) works well, and seems to be accurate enough for my purposes. When I opened a bottle of nail polish in a nearby room, the monitorโs HCHO (formaldehyde) and TVOC (total volatile organic compounds) numbers shot way up. They returned to more normal levels after a few hours. In fact, I liked this device so well, I purchased another, to keep track of the air quality upstairs as well as downstairs in my home. At first, I had difficulty getting the second device recognized by the app and connected to my home network. However, it IS possible to have two wifi devices displayed in the app. Once the devices are set up, they display separate real time readings, and keep independent data histories. (See my photos--one of them has been enhanced a little to make the figures and the device names โAir Qualityโ and โAir Quality 2โ easier to read.) CONNECTION TIPS: The key things to know about the wifi setup are as follows: (1) your phone or tablet (with the app) has to be connected to a 2.4Ghz network; (2) the Temtop monitoring device has to be reset with a paperclip so that you see an โascendingโ wireless signal (not just a blinking wireless signal), when youโre joining the home network; and (3) any other Temtop monitoring device already connected to the network should be turned off when youโre connecting the new device. Iโm not positive that step 3 is required, but my second device would NOT connect to my network until I turned the first device off. After you get the Temtop devices connected, you can reconnect your phone or tablet to a faster 5Ghz band, and the Temtop app will still work. AIR QUALITY HISTORY TIPS: First, the air quality history comes up in the app when you tap the area that shows the real time readings. Second, if you try to bring up the history and you see โno dataโ, you may have to (1) turn the device off and on again, and/or (2) log out of the app and log back in again. Clearly, it would be nice if the app were less โuppityโ, but the air quality monitors seem to be quite responsive to changes. My upstairs monitor shows consistently higher TVOC readings, for example, because the upstairs has more shampoo, Lysol sprays, etc. in regular use. Once an aerosol spray gets into the air, it will take several hours for it to clear. Also, it would be nice if the app could be set to show local temperatures in Fahrenheit rather than Centigrade. Thatโs a quibble, though. I havenโt owned my two devices for very long, so they may stop working prematurely (as other reviewers have reported). However, Iโm happy with them so far--especially with the real time and historical data available through the app. You can use the app to set your device to record data at certain intervals--starting at as often as every 10 minutes. I do have to keep the devices plugged in all the time, because the battery drains so quickly. The battery doesnโt last anywhere close to the promised 6 hours.

The app and the device were unusable
Cannot get the app to work completely. Initially, I put in my login email and password and then got linked to their website that was trying to sell me lots of this and that. Couldnt get out of that link. So, exited the app, then tried to login again. TemTop system did not recognize the login. I did the login procedure again, and this time did not get past the login page. Ditto for 3 more tries. Eventually, after logging in with my Apple account, the app allowed me to establish an account and run setup. The app, which is apparently 5 years old, established a WiFi connection, but would not set up "configuration" no matter how many times I tried: CONFIGURATION FAILED was always the return message. I emailed Temtop support and got back something strange: It is apparently required that the user must go to his/her router setup (192.168.1.1) and reset some configuration parameters! Im not doing that. I have many 2.4GHz devices that have never required a router reconfiguration. THAT is absurd. The only reason I bought this device was to be able to access my home's indoor AQI from afar (WiFi). The current price with coupon is UNDER half of what I paid for it 5 months ago ($135 with tax). Wonder why? With an internet search, you will find out what happened to many others. In the last few days, I got an offer from the manufacturer for a full refund. I took it, and the refund has appeared on my credit card statement. I'd say this was an appropriate response by a responsible manufacturer. I didnt expect it, and I thank them.

A must air quality sensor for Renters and homeowners.
My opinion with the instrument: If you rent a home, this instrument may save your life and your loved ones by reading the air quality, air particles-PM2.5, harmful chemicals like Formaldehyde, and other volatile substances. It provides the trending graphs in a spreadsheet file for detailed analysis. Note: Per manufacturer instructions and before using this sensor, you need to put it outside and protect it from the rain to calibrate the sensor for optimal reading (My impression is that after six hours of calibration per manual instruction, the instrument will compare the ambient readings vs. your indoor readings)

Works
I can't tell how accurate it is - but it does react to smoke, fragrances (like essential oils), and so on. I like it. I did not connect it to Wifi and I am not sure I ever will - the app on the App Store looks super sketchy - the title is not even in English. Maybe I should have bought the cheaper (no Wifi) model. But I am not complaining, this thing seems to work.

Great reliable product
The sensor looks great and easy to setup. The displayed numerical values are in the same range as the what the my smart air filter is saying, so I guess they are either both correct and both wrong. It would be nice to have one day battery life, mine runs flat after about 4.5 to 5 hours. It is located near a USB wall charger socket, so it is not much of a problem to charge it.

App experience is bad/privacy concern
The whole idea of this device is you need to connect it with the App. To add the device, it will require access to your GPS location in order to setup/proceed. After giving access, the app still have issue trying to setup/link to my Wi-Fi. Could have been designed better for this price. I would return
