A nice book, I brought so I could look up the butterflies I saw at Stratford butterfly farm. Hardly any where in the book so not a comprehensive guide.

Does not seem very comprehensive
Well it's not really a reference guide, but what is. Lacking something as common as a black admiral, so not really a great deal of depth for some regions of the world. There does not seem to be a great reference guide available anywhere, however. Oops, my bad. It is the WHITE admiral, though generally seems to be almost black in the main, unlike the muddy brown shown in the book.

Absolutely love this book!
I LOVE this book. I’m in the process of building up an entomology book collection and this is one that I am very excited to own. The size is actually fairly large so it’s very easy to read. The images are incredibly clear and easy to view in comparison to some other entomology books I’ve come across. The information in it is great and while not “textbook” level of information but it’s definitely very educational and well written. I’m genuinely obsessed with the cover of this book, it’s stunning! The book is packed with images and information and so far I’m really impressed. This book would be great for anyone middle school aged and older. Highly recommend this book!

Nice gift for a butterfly enthusiast.
This was a nice gift for a teacher who loves butterflies. The book was very good quality paper and beautiful colorful pictures.
