I have ordered two and they differ slightly in shade and I would say gray not black.. But they are a amazing product well made they keep their shape and they are very soft...

It's really soft! I'm not sure how to describe the softness but it's definitely nice to touch and softer than most stuffed animals i own.

How can you wash this if the animal gets dirty? can you? thanks

I would put him in on a very gentle wash or even on a delicate setting if your washing machine has that setting. Then I would probably either air dry him or put him in the drying machine on light.
