My scissors have become dull. Is this covered under the warranty?

No, that's normal wear on the blade. Buy a flat stone at the hardware store, place a drop of oil on it before using, and sharpen the blade by pulling the flat side of the blade towards you. Keep it nearly flat against the stone and never on an angle. Should put an edge on the blade after about 5 strokes.

Is there still a way to get the old version (Made-in-Japan), as mentioned in some of these reviews?

The ones I received were made in Japan. They are excellent

The specs on these shears say they are 9" long. I think they may be 6" - can someone measure theirs for me? Thanks!

I measured my shears and they are actually 6 1/4". I'm not sure if she makes 9" shears but this size is perfect for me. These are the best shears I have ever owned; I highly recommended them!
