ABUS Diskus 20/70 Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Padlock with 2 Keys (2.75")

Very sturdy lock that I put on a storage unit, and it fit the door perfectly. It works smoothly and seems secure. I like that it has a cover over the keyhole since it's outside in the weather. It also came with 2 keys. There have been no rust or any other issues in the approx 4 months I've been using it. It was pricier than some of the other locks out there, but I like how unique each lock is; and, after some research, I really think ABUS takes security seriously.

Works as advertised!

One of the very few affordable locks that the lockpicking lawyer doesn't just absolutely trash. The open/closign mechanism of this lock is butter smooth, the core is difficult to pick or bypass and the entire lock just feels quality, in a "come at me bro" kind of way. Used to secure 2 e-bikes with a hardened 3/8" square link chain over the holiday weekend. It's like they were made for each other. I have no doubt that I'll get years of service out of this relatively affordable lock.

One of the best locks you can buy for storage units or uhaul trucks, works perfectly

Bought specifically for my 15' U-Haul moving cross country and leaving it overnight in a parking lot. The lock itself is great. Heavy, sturdy, secure. Smooth mechanism. Worth the money for sure. However, the lock does not fit properly on the U-Haul as it is not wide enough. As you can see in the picture, the lock can still secure the latch and the door, which I guess is all you really need. The door will not open. But once you lower the latch into place and swing the latch holder down, it's too wide for the lock to fit around. The only purpose of the latch holder is to prevent the latch from swinging back up. All in all, the lock fits and will secure your U-Haul, but will not fit if you close the U-Haul as intended.

Picked this up for my shed and honestly pretty impressed. The disc-style body is way harder to cut or pry than a normal U-lock shackle, and it feels solid — no rattle, no cheap plastic vibes. Key turns smooth, both keys worked right out of the box. It's heavy though, so don't expect a lightweight travel lock — this thing is meant to sit outside and take abuse. Been through a couple rainstorms already with zero rust showing. Only gripe: the shackle opening is a bit narrow, so make sure it'll actually fit around whatever hasp or chain you're using before you buy. Other than that, solid buy if you want real security and don't mind the bulk. 4.5/5, would recommend for sheds, gates, or anywhere you want more than a token deterrent.

Got this for my storage locker when between homes. Nothing is pick proof but this thing sure looks very pick resistant for anyone other then the lockpicking lawyer. It's very well built and feels like a quality item. Got it for cubesmart and it works but due to its size it's tricky to attach and lock. Once it's on its on. Recommend if you need a high quality lock securing you life.

This ABUS Diskus 20/70 is a beast. The stainless steel build feels ultra-tough, and the round/disc shape makes it much harder to cut or attack compared to regular padlocks. Original Abus Diskus padlock received in excellent packaging and at an affordable price of Rs 1,500; it is made in Germany. I am glad that I received a slightly older version of the product, because the older version comes with a hardened steel shackle. The lock is equipped with a highly pick resistant Disk Detainer core made entirely from brass with false gates. I think Indian brands like Godrej, in collaboration with Abus, should fill the market with these reliable locks, instead of the dimple-key locks that can be picked in less than a minute!!

I love this lock. It has a very satisfying *clunk* to it when you lock and unlock it. It has a good weight to it and feels very well built. I live on Vancouver island and this lock has stood up to the entire rainy winter with zero issues. Since it's a disc detainer lock it's unlikely that your average lock picker will be able to pick it without a specialized tool. ( check out the Lockpickinglawyer on YouTube to see what I mean). I searched long and hard for a good lock and came to the conclusion that you cannot find a decent lock in stores, so I spent the extra and bought this one with confidence for about $55 CAD. Money well spent, much cheaper than replacing the items it's securing. I also like that it looks like your average disc lock, but is a much higher level of security. It's German built and the quality reflects that. Also, never force the key. You'll likely come across the review on YouTube ( or maybe it was Amazon USA?) of the guy that was upset because he broke his key off in the lock.. with disc detainer locks you must rotate the key gently until the discs are in order and you feel the key go all of the way in, it was his fault he broke the key, not the locks fault.

Effective padlock.

Well, the Lockpicking Lawyer sent me to this lock, like many people. If you do not know who this person is, you owe it to yourself to look him up. This lock gave him enough trouble picking, that it's one of the padlocks he recommends. It's easy to see why. The key is uncommon, so picking tools and skills are less likely to be in possession by the bad guys. The shackle is thick, and the body solid, to resist physical attacks or cutting. The size and shape does limit the places you can use it, so make sure it will work for you before spending the money. The lock may seem pricey, but that's the cost of engineering and materials manufacture to make a solid product.
