These were a perfect fit for my Samsonite carry-on. They perform just like the original wheels or better. They were easy to replace. Worth the 20 minutes or so of work.

This set is the perfect solution to bring your bag back to life! The wheels are well made and come with bearings which make them much smoother and more durable than the originals... The hardest part is cutting off the old axles - luckily I had access to a drill press which made installation a breeze. The steps I followed are: remove the wheel assemblies from the bag... this is optional but it makes everything a lot easier... drill out the old axles... this is very easy but needs to be gentle so you don't damage the plastic part... push the old axle out with an awl or screwdriver... install the new wheels... tip: it's important that the side of the bearings is tight against the wall of the wheel assembly; otherwise the bearing will spin on the axle and not do its job. I put washers on both ends to make sure the bearing where tight. Install the new axle bolts... Tip: The bolts come with a blue mark on them which is a glue called "thread lock" to prevent the bolt from loosening... I added some more of this glue but I guess this is optional too. Thread lock is expensive but any glue should help to keep them tight... and finally reinstalled the wheel assemblies and bingo... my bag rolls much better than new!... The kit came with two different sizes of axles, 8 bolts, 12 washers, and a couple of allen keys to make installation easy... I was lucky to have access to a drill press but if you don’t have one don’t be discouraged... this is a job well worth the effort. In my case I save my bag for which I paid good money.. I ordered these as replacement wheels for a large Samsonite suitcase. The seller offered several sizes and exact measurements, so I received exactly the right ones. I needed to cut each of the old wheels' axles. This was the hardest part for my bag as the axles were pressed together (one could use a Dremel or other type cut off tool or a hacksaw). I cut away some of the damaged rubber on the original wheels and used some pliers to hold them while I cut them. Other bags might be easier depending on the axle. The new axles were included and both they and the new wheels fit perfectly. I do not know how long these will last but they seem very sturdy. They will be easy to replace in the future as the replacement axles screw together/apart. My bag works and looks like new for a very reasonable price.

These luggage replacement wheels are fantastic, the bearings make them roll very easily and quietly. The OwnMy wheels are Oh my, good quality and they seem like they are durable and very functional. I’m very happy with the quality of these wheels. They feel very solid and the suitcase glides noticeably better than before. I used the metal cut-off wheel that came with my dremel to cut through the axels of our old wheels (outer layer had shredded off.). These wheels feel like they are better quality than the originals. I’d originally hoped to find entire wheel assemblies to avoid cutting off the old but couldn’t find a match - I suggest that others thinking the same thing don’t remove the old assemblies - you can look at the configuration and measure without removal.

Works great and looks great! It took a bit of hard work getting the old wheels off. Instead of using the included saw blade to cut off the old axle, which was awkward to use and very inefficient, I used a power drill to drill out the axles of the old wheels. You just need to drill off the indented end of the axle, then pull it out from the other side using pliers. You must press the drill bit hard into the indented end and work hard to drill that end off enough for the axle to be pulled out from the other side. But be careful not to let the bit slip and stab your hand or fingers that are holding the wheel. I wore ha eavy duty leather work glove, just in case. Inserting the new axle snd wheel is a cinch, as long as you don't try to put the tiny washers between the strut and wheel. That is real time consuming and a frustrating process -- and is not needed. The replacement wheels are the tough skate board type wheels, so they should last forever. They roll easily, are quiet, and look snazzy.

Pros: Bring life back to my suitcase to last more years. Two different axle lengths gave me more options for better fit. Axel and ball bearings help my suitcase roll properly. Once on should last a long time. I really love the new roll feel and much quieter than my old wheels. Having measureed they fit perfectly once I had my old wheels off. These function even better than my old wheels did. Even supplied two hex keys for installation. Cons: Getting the old wheels off proved to be harder than I thought. Ultimately with any luggage that has riveted wheels like mine did you are going to end up having to hacksaw the old wheels off. No stars removed for this is problem with old suitcase. Yes I'd buy these again and recommend to friends.. Bdv

Wheels on my Samsonite split. Kinda disappointed with Samsonite. Tried to find complete replacement (wheels with holder) but Samsonite no longer carry. Other Amazon sellers had similar looking replacements but other purchasers indicated the screw holes did not line up. Decided to find replacement casters and came across these. They are perfect!!! If you are a little bit handy you can easily fix these yourself. You need to drill out the rivets (not from head side but the other side). You can also use a Dremmel tool to grind away perimeter of staked rivet. Knock out old rivets and install new casters with the length of fasteners (it comes with two lengths) that work for your set up. Not sure how long they will last but the quality seems better than the original Samsonite...

I needed to replace the wheels on my GeniusPack (Genius Pack) carry-on luggage bag. The original wheels fell apart but the bag is still my favorite and still in pretty good shape. Found these on Amazon and thought about taking a gamble and replace the wheels. The gamble payed off and after 2+ years now, still roll super smooth and quiet. I did add a tiny bit of axle grease to the given pins because I thought the given metal axle pins were too dry and I did not want metal on metal friction. This set comes with two different lengths of metal pins but I can't remember if I used the longer or shorter axle pins. The side plastic original wheel covers over the wheels don't need to be reinstalled and I let mine fall off without any loss. Now I think that these wheels will outlive the carry-on bag.
