My truck was in dire need of new coils. I have to say these are a great as the last ones I bought that were from the ford dealership for over $400 less! With 356,000 miles on my truck coils have been changed 4 times now and for less than $45 I’ll buy these if I need to again.

2010 f150 160kmi. Did coils, plugs, fuel injectors and timing solenoids when I got engine codes for misfire, rich o2 sensors..truck ran fine after tune up but soon in a few weeks developed 35-45mph stutter that felt like transmission lockup converter slippage.. as it got worse and changed from 45mph to 35mph, then all the time at part throttle!!, it Took a few months of swapping out coils ,plugs, sensors to diagnose it was these coils. When I put the old OEM coils in the truck smoothed out,no trans stutters ,but misfire returned. Others also reported the same thing...but now Its past the 30day return window. Don't buy cheap coils!!

My gad milage got a little worse than it was before. But.... there is no misfire anymore. Made motor run a whole lot smoother. But somehow I went from 12 mpg, all the way down to 8 mpg. I've given it a few days for the computer to reset itself. As well as disconnect the negative side for a few hours. Only time will really tell. October 8th, 2022, I've spoken with the company that owns this product and they apparently want to blame everything or want to believe everything else except the facts. I swapped back to Motorcraft (the old coils) and drove around for an hour, close to two, and my mpg started to go back up almost to my original. But then I swapped back again to these that I ordered and my mpg went from bad, to much worse. Drove only 40 mils at one point and burned more by than a quarter tank of gas. They say I may have dirty fuel injector, doesn't explain after I did the swap. They say I may have a number of other problems that still don't explain why it happened after I did the swap 2 times and got two very different readings. They also say that ignition (coil packs and spark plugs) have nothing to do with my mpg. So why do they call it a tune up? Tune ups are simple, change the spark plug and coils or wires, fuel filter if you have one you can change, air filter change, and do an oil change to keep your engine running smoother and the balance between air and fuel in the motor for efficient mpg. That is the simple standard of care for almost all gas burners. Unless, otherwise told my the manufacturer. The thing is, I'm not asking for a return or my money to be returned. I'm asking them for a plausible reason behind this situation. They obviously can't give me one.
