Excellent HDMI Switch - 1st Iโve Tried w/ No Problems
Very few TVs support 5.1 audio passthrough, and precisely zero TVs support LPCM/PCM passthrough, so I was stuck with stereo sound from my PS4 over ARC. Now, by wiring all my devices into this switch and the switch to the Soundbar, I get full 5.1 LPCM from all devices as well as Atmos from my Apple TV. It seems simple enough, but I tried 3 switches before this and every single one had a unique issue. This is the first switch I bought that has no issues at all and a great remote that doesnโt need to be precisely pointed like others Iโve tried. This switch is definitely worth the extra cash over the budget switches...

Gets the job done
This is supposed to be a simple piece of hardware that prevents plugging and unplugging different devices to the few HDMI ports available on TV's or receivers. My experience is that they usually work well for few months, then start to cause strange problems, which are hard to troubleshoot. So far, so good. No complaints. Good picture quality and my soundbar recognizes the audio signal as Dolby Atmos (from my Xbox One). Occasionally, you have to turn off the switch to allow it to lose the handshake from one device and acquire a new one from another, but this is true from all the switches that I have owned through the years. In all, the function of an HDMI switch is highly dependent on the connected devices, the receiver and the TV, so, your mileage may vary. One last thing; turning it off after done viewing your source, may extend the life of these switches. Highly recommend it.

Still working
Bought a different one from Walmart previously to try out this kind of product. It did not hold up and 2 particular ports never worked with anything. This has allowed me to keep multiple game systems connected and works for long periods with no mishaps. Using it is simple plug and play as expected. I have had very little trouble with this but when I do it is always the same issue. It will lock up and show that I am attempting to switch between the hdmi connections, but never actually change between them. The only way to correct this for me is to unplug everything from the back of it and powercycle it. Sometimes electronics need that but this has done it to me simultaneously a few times. At this point, the issues I have had is less than 5% of the time. Over all I would buy it again.

An Excellent Solution to a common modern problem
(Disclaimer: I'd ordered a Prosumer 3-Port HDMI switch previously, so I was identified to try out this unit.) This unit helped me create an ideal media setup and solve a problem I didn't even know I had. I work from home and use my TV as a monitor, and I have for years. I'm also an avid gamer. I like to listen to media (regardless of source) through my surround sound system, or through high quality headphones when I feel like it. I'd been using my speaker system as a receiver, switching inputs from Xbox, to PC, etc. Here's my setup: TV Satellite Receiver Surround system PC - Windows PC - Ubuntu Xbox Turtle Beach wireless headset (runs off optical, mic is connected to Xbox at all times) My ideal setup means that all my devices can be run through my Xbox, primarily so I can get great wireless sound through my headphones. Since the Xbox only has one HDMI in (whatever is being sent there is shown in the OneGuide app) and a single HDMI out, I was able to run all my other HDMI devices into the HDMI switch, and then run one HDMI cable from the switch to my Xbox. The Xbox then feeds into my surround system and outputs optical audio to my headphones. My surround system then outputs to TV. I know that's a lot, and I literally had to draw a little flowchart to work out how I wanted everything connected, but the result is I am typing this on a PC that is running through the OneGuide app on my Xbox (so if I get Xbox notifications, they overlay on my screen), and at any point I can mute my surround system and get PC audio through my headphones. I can do all that with single, small HDMI switch added to my setup. TL;DR - If you have multiple HDMI sources and want them all to run through your Xbox, this unit makes it easy.

Works well.
Works well. Kinda of embarrassed I actually need to switch HDMI between 5 different PCs but that is the requirement and I do that many times a day. The remote is a nice touch.

Bought to replace old one.
Bought one locally and it was cheap light and all plastic. This is heavier, solid and well made. Not to mention works great. Never had any issues with the quality of the signal passing through it. All video and audio are passed through perfect.

Don't waste your money
To start with, I'm not daft. I understand very clearly what this product is meant to be and do. It is garbage, and if you win the lottery and get one without some feature DOA, don't expect more than a few months of functionality out of it. I selected this device specifically because I needed a switch that supported 4K, HDR, and 60fps all at the same time. There aren't many switches on the market that claim to do this, if you read the fine print carefully. The first one I got had a dead LED on the HDMI 2 indicator. Not a big deal, but being it was brand new, I returned it for an exchange. The replacement device actually had an HDMI 2 LED that was super dim, but I didn't want to go through the hassle of exchanging again, and like a said, not really a big deal. But after using for a few days, it became clear that it was pretty sketchy when it comes to the actual switching function (you know, the main thing it's made to do). I'd say about 70% of the time, when switching inputs, it wigs out and just sends no signal. Sometimes switching back, or to some other input, then back to the one you want, fixes the issue. Sometimes, it just completely drops signal altogether, when nothing is happening. You can be in the middle of a movie, TV show, or video game, and suddenly, the TV says "no signal detected on HDMI." This is clearly not ideal in the best of situations, but if you're playing a game, hoo boy. If it's a PC game, even worse, because it seems to report a display resolution capability of 1080p to the device, causing sudden resolution adjustments and that can lead to game crashes. But the worst is the PS4. It somehow seems to send a power-off signal to the PS4 over HDMI CEC sometimes. Today, we had a very mild power flicker. Now, everything on my entertainment center is connected to a battery backup surge protector. The PC, PS4, Roku, TV, and 5.1 receiver all stayed on and fine. The HDMI switch, however, went completely bonkers. HDMI 1 and 4 are totally dead. HDMI 2 and 5 send signal, but the colors are wrong. Connecting the PC to one of the "working" inputs shows that it's reporting as capable of 640x480x32. It was nonetheless accepting and passing 1920x1080 resolution, but that seems to explain the colors. HDMI 3, for what it's worth, seems to pass a black screen. TV sees signal, but there's no picture, just all black. I'm just over a month outside of the return window now, so I guess it's screw me for trusting this vendor. I recommend you look elsewhere if you need a 4K HDR switch. I don't know where, but maybe try Monoprice.

Ok, but has a few quirks
*UPDATE* - We bought a couple of UHD movies this week and I'm happy to say the Atmos did work. This product works, but it has some odd quirks that I'm still figuring out. I got this in order to be able to input my Samsung Bluray, Nintendo Switch and Fios cable box directly into my Vizio soundbar that has 1 HDMI IN connection and 1 HDMI ARC connection. I was having some Dolby Digital audio delay issues when the devices were inputted into the back of the Samsung TV and outputted using HDMI ARC to the soundbar and was hoping this would fix the problem. The good new is that by inputting all of the devices into the switch and having it directly connected to the soundbar, the delay is gone and it sounds great. I can't notice any difference in quality of the picture. There is a small delay when switching between inputs but nothing I found bothersome. I even get surround out of the Nintendo which can be finicky if not connected right. I received the product very quickly and in good shape so no issue with the seller either. Some things to keep in mind though: 1. I got this to work with my Logitech Harmony remote. This switch looks like it is sold by many different brands, but its all the same model. Logitech has the model, but not all of the different brands. Because the model is the same, you can use any of the brands. Just find one. 2. I was having a similar problem as someone else here in that when turning on the cable tv, the bluray would also turn on for some reason. The switch would automatically go to the bluray input. I got this to stop by turning off the Anynet+ (CEC) on the samsung bluray settings. 3. For some reason, occasionally the Dolby Digital or DTS signal doesn't get to the soundbar. It doesn't happen all of the time. My soundbar has a light, white if DD and amber if DTS, and it doesn't always turn on using this switch. I'm hoping this doesn't continue. If I turn everything off and start over, I'll get the signal and everything sounds and looks like it should and my soundbar will confirm the signal with the lights. 4. It is advertised as being compatible with Dolby Atmos. I could not find in the manual that came with the product anything that mentions this. I have a dolby atmos compatible sound bar, but no content that can test it.

Easy to use, works great
Great choice if you need to run multiple HDMI inputs into a single HDMI socket. I used this to hide multiple components in a different room for a clean new TV install. The TV has 3 x HDMI: 1 for the soundbar; 1 for multiple switched HDMI inputs (OTA tuner, Nintendo Switch, WiiU, Bluray player and Apple TV), and 1 for hooking up a laptop for gaming when required. I used an IR blaster that I had from a previous setup to ensure an old Logitech Harmony One remote can work with all components, and itโs a seamless transition from one input to another with this switch. The box hides easily in the recess behind the TV along with all the HDMI and power cables.

Impressed with quality
I bought this HDMI switch because my TV only has one 2.0 HDMI port. So far I use it for my PS4 Pro and Xbox 1S. The picture and sound quality are perfect for what the consoles could offer. However, I noticed only with my PS4 Pro, not Xbox 1S, the video cuts out (not sound) for 3 seconds, and only once each time I use the PS4 at the beginning, usually while still in the menu. I contacted tech support ([email protected]) and they responded within an hour with a solution. They said "I recommend you can firstly un-plug PS4 Pro from the HDMI box, connect it to TV directly and wait until you get good audio with no cut-out. After that, re-plug PS4 Pro to the HDMI box, it should work fine then." They also mention if that doesn't work, they would further assist me which was great. I tried their trouble-shooting method and have not seen any more video cut-out from my PS4 after a few tests. I'm very pleased with tech supports quick response time and clear instructions. Aside from that, no issues, solid metal device that automatically switches my consoles.

Works well with Linux. Minor issue with Powersave options of my monitors
Works well with Linux, which is my main operating system at home. I now also have two Windows systes from work connected to this to use only two monitors instad of six. If it was not of this PowerSave issue I have with Windows, I would give this a 5-STAR. If my computer goes powersave for all monitors while swtiched back, the monitors go powersave, the monitors will neg get back up when I get the computer disply back up. I have to switch the power input of the monitors to HDMI back to have a display. Otherwise, the switch box works great. I had two of those babies installed and am very happy that all controls are at the front, and all connections at the back, which keeps my desk clean[er].

Simple device to connect all your consoles all at once
I wanted to have all of my Classic consoles connected to my TV all at the same time as I was getting tired of always having to go up to the stand and move cables around every time I wanted to play a different system. This HDMI switcher was a great solution to this problem. The picture and sound is very clear and there is no problem receiving the content on my TV. Switching between inputs is fast with the push of a button on the remote control. It comes in a nice package with the remote control, power adapter (rated at 5V 1000mah), and the unit itself. The switcher is in a solid metal case and all the connections feel very solid. I added some rubber feet to the bottom of the unit all of those thick HDMI cables connected to the back can cause the unit to slide around a bit. If there were things I would have liked to see improved which are really minor, I wish the remote control was a little bigger (though that's just personal preference), and it would have been nice to have an HDMI cable in the box because I needed to get another cable so I could connect it up to my TV. But overall, it is a simple and very effective device that just works.

First HDMI Switch I haven't hated
I really like this. I have a couple of switchers before I have always ended up returning them. I use this in my home office to switch between my PC, Fire Stick and my Android Box. Let's look at what we have here: 1.) 5-port HDMI switch, that supports 4K/60 HDR10, Dolby Vision. All my 3 devices work without any issues. My 4K android box looks great 2.) While this does AUTO-switch, it also has FULL manual switching. Yep, nothing more annoying that a device waking from sleep and auto-switching the HDMI input. Although the manual does not state it, THANK GOODNESS for the Amazon description that tells you to HOLD the "Switch" button down for around 5 seconds - the light will blink four times, and BAM - no more auto-switching 3.) No issue with using my Logitech Harmony Elite remote to switch inputs! This means I can have the TV turn on, and the HDMI switch move to the correct input without any auto-switching getting in the way. You can teach the IR commands of each HDMI input from the original switch remote without any problems. So, overall, - this is a great HDMI switch. It has dealt with everything I've thrown at it. Recommended if you want 3-5 ports for your monitor or TV. Top notch.
