これは、シバの女王の物語の１シーンを再現すべく購入した。女王がソロモン王のもとへ向かう隊列を作ろうと目論んだのじゃ。ラクダの頭の向きや脚の位置を変えるという小技も使おうと思っていた。 だが、試しに一つ買って見ると、その素材が改造に不向きであると知り落胆した。製品の出来が良いだけに、なんとも諦めきれななかったのだ。そこで奥の手。シリコンで型を取り、無発泡ウレタン樹脂、いわゆるプラキャストで複製してから改造することにした。 かなり割高になってしまうが、やむを得まい。兵隊の行進のように、真っ直ぐ前を見据え、足並み揃えて進むラクダたちなど不自然極まりないからのう。
