CORABLADE HQ9 Replacement Shaver Head Blades Compatible with Philips Norelco Razor 8140XL 8150XL 8160XL 8170XL 8171 8175 (HQ9)

I have a couple of Philips electric shavers. I used them very satisfactorily with the original heads supplied for over two years. OEM replacements blades are two-thirds of the original price of the razors so after deliberation I decided to purchase and try these non-OEM replacement blades at much less cost than buying the genuine OEM heads. WHAT A MISTAKE. No problem with the fit or installation. These initially appear to be identical unless you examine them very, very closely. They are not the same quality of manufacture. From the very first trial, the shaving action is not as smooth and the heads are scratchy, do not cut cleanly or shave nearly as close. In fact, the old, used heads still give a smoother, faster, cleaner shave than these new aftermarket heads. Don't take my word for it. Throw a few bucks at it and try them for yourself. I will be replacing these with the OEM heads or pitch the razors.

Awful. Can't even get a good shave despite multiple passes. I re-installed my 12 month old factory blades and got a better shave. I cannot recommend this product to anyone - the quality is too poor.

I replace the the shave heads every year, I found a much better price deal on amazon for the same exact factory heads, my unit is about 5 years old and this new blade heads are easy to replace and back to a nice close shave.

Bought the cutter blades two months ago. They still operate just fine. No defects, wear or rust unlike some of the past reviews which did initially hesitate my purchase. Will admit that the replacements sold by the original manufacturer shave better. However, the cost saving and overall performance justifies a suitable alternative. If my shaver battery does not die then plan to buy this product again.

I have owned several Norelco shavers over the past 50+ years and my current shaver has been around for 10-15 years. I have attempted to change the blades every couple of years. This replacement was the first time I have ever run across blades made by any other than Norelco. I thought I'd give them a try and so far I have been impressed because I cannot tell any different than the Norelco except for the lower price. I will check out other products on your web site for future replacements as they are needed. Thanks

Had a hard time shaving with the new blades. They don't seem to be sharpe.

I hate for my first review to be a negative one, but these blades were so disappointing I feel a need to warn others away. These blades don't work very well. Even when brand new and in a fully charged razor, they tug whiskers out instead of cutting cleanly. Ouch! I gave up on them (missed the return window, nuts!) and went back to my original blades, which were well over 10 years old. (I have a nearly nonexistent beard, so they've lasted a long time.) I'm going to splurge and buy a set from Norelco next time.UPDATE: I purchased OEM Norelco blades, which were kinda pricey but worked like a dream -- best shave in years. I noticed blade sharpeners on Amazon and will give one a try next time my blades start to get dull.

These blades provide a much improved shave over the old Norelco blades they replaced. They may not be as good as the originals, but they are more than good enough to justify the savings.

These are a complete waste of time as replacements. They are discontinued by Philips but I found some old stock genuine originals at £69 online so that these are fakes is a given. I only needed one outer foil piece to replace the one that had disappeared down the plug and reasoned that it was cheaper than getting a plumber to try and retrieve it by completely dismantling the bathroom basin. Buying the ones at £69 would have been cheaper than that I could see they were cheap copies immediately but I tried them just to check and as I suspected they had little effect. The one foil cover at least means that I can use to shaver now with the original re sharpened blades and only one fake foil part. I don't notice any difference. Do not waste your money. Make sure the plug is in before rinsing your shaver under the tap.

Absolutely useless. Blades don't cut and foil drags on hairs. Very painful experience.Not fit for purpose.Returned item

Liked the product and does the job, good quality.

Product took a few days to "run in"as could be expected with new blades, but is fine now.
