Finally found a travel kit that isn't bulky! My husband has been using this black bag for a few trips now, and it’s holding up incredibly well. Great bag. It keeps all the toiletries organized while you travel. I love that you can hang it, and that the bag for liquids it comes with can be hung independently. This is very convenient when you travel to a place that has limited counter space in the bathroom. I visited a country where I stayed at a friend's place that had a small bathroom with only a pedestal sink, so the hanging features for the toiletries came in handy. I like the separation, for the liquids avoiding spills, and also if you need to take the out of the bag for security screenings it's super easy to do (although this is less common these days). I've been traveling with it for over a year now and the only complain is that it takes a lot of room in the carry on. I still like it, but my previous toiletry bag (that had no organization) fit the same stuff and took less space. Of course, it's then harder to find things in it. I still like the bag. I got it thinking this would be the last toiletry bag I'd ever own, but in reality I'm considering getting a smaller one.

I have searched for the "perfect" toiletry bag for years, and this one is by far the best one I have tried! It can fit my straightener, a full-sized hairbrush, toothbrush, a full tube of toothpaste, deodorant, travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, and two soaps while still having a bit of room. It comes with a clear bag to hold your TSA-compliant bottles (it fits four), which works perfectly and can be used separately if I'm going somewhere overnight. I like the two main compartments - one big open one and the other with a few pockets and the clear bag. It takes up about half of one side of my carry-on suitcase (I have the carry-one AWAY suitcase which is 21.7" tall, 14.4" wide with a depth of 9"). Perfect for me, but if you aren't willing to give up a quarter of your carry-on suitcase to a toiletry kit this may not be for you.

I travel much during the year and this bag was getting much attention and the images looked like it would meet my needs. the material is very nice. the spill proof pockets are great, but the compartments are ultimately small and few of them. hard to fit my needs in such a small space. i realize it is meant to be a companion to a larger bag, but it is terribly cramped. i currently use the eagle creek bag (https://smile.amazon.com/Eagle-Creek-Specter-Toiletry-Strobe/dp/B00EOF23CK/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1542295917&sr=8-4&keywords=eagle+creek+dopp+kit) and i will continue to stick with it. it is spill proof and open enough to fit what i need and it doesnt have all the compartments of this one, but it has more flexibility. i realize this bag has a big crowdfunding following, and it may be just what you need. it just wasn't for me. i need larger pockets where i can organize as i wish and not simply fit one small thing without room for lotion, larger toothpaste deodorant, q-tips, manicure set, basic pain meds and a small electric razor at the very least. i will keep it as an extra bag if i need it.

Great travel toiletry bag! It fits everything I need including my shower stuff, skincare, sunscreen, hairbrush, etc. I love how compact it is even when it's stuffed. I can fit it into the crevices of my suitcase no problem. I also love that it has a strap so I can hang it up at the hotel for easy access. Definitely worth getting for yourself or someone you know who loves to travel!

Used this travel dopp kit for international travel and domestic travel. The compartments are helpful (especially the covered toothbrush section) but as others have pointed out, it doesn’t utilize all the space of the bag. Biggest issue I experienced, though, were the pull zips coming loose and fall off because the D-shaped rings aren’t fully solid - there’s a gap on the straight side. The rubber pull is supposed to cover it, but it doesn’t stay still, so you’re constantly battling the zip pull to cover those gaps so it’ll both pull the zipper and remain on. I’ve already lost two of the zipper pulls because of this weird design. Because it becomes impractical to use, IMO, I’ve gone back to using my cheap, but usable wax canvas dopp kit.

Perfect toiletry bag when travelling light. It carries all my usual bits in a small form factor and the fact it’s basically waterproof eliminates the stress of things bursting in transit in my bag. I like the secondary pocket for separating the toothbrush from the other items although I’m using that for keeping my razor separate after a few nasty cuts from having one loose in a bulk pocket. This now goes everywhere with me when I travel and using hotels.

I watched many reviews about the Gravel Explorer mini prior to purchasing. Looking for a compact toiletry bag, it seemed like the ideal choice. Photos and videos do not do justice to the materials and build quality of the bag. If you are on the fence about either of those, do not hesitate, you will be impressed. The bag feels great in the hand, and I enjoy the waterproof zippers. To date I have not owned a bag with a hanging strap. I don't think I can go back to one without it now that I have. A wet bag on a foreign hotel counter has always rubbed me the wrong way. Hanging this one from a towel rack or similar will be a welcome change. I can fit a compact electric toothbrush (Philips One), deodorant, compact hair product, a small razor, lens cleaner, and moisturizer without straining the zippers. Personally I would never need a larger bag, however if I did I would not think twice about one of Gravel's larger offerings. My wife will be using an Explorer Slim in no time. In addition to the product itself, Gravel's customer service is the best I have ever received from a company. I had some issues with shipping and tight timelines. I voiced my concerns to Gravel about receiving products in time for an upcoming trip. They bent over backwards to do everything they could to get me on my way with the Explorer Mini in hand. To say they exceeded my expectations would be an understatement. This gives me every confidence that Gravel will stand behind their product in the long term. The bag is nice, but the customer service has made me a loyal customer for life. I'll recommend this bag or another Gravel bag to anyone who asks.
