One of my toddlers kept drawing snakes and when I asked why he said he just didn’t know how to draw anything else 🤣🤣🤣 My daughter wanted to get better at drawing so I thought this would be a good way to help them out! The drawings are exactly the types of things kids under 5 are interested in and because they show the drawing step by step, they have the opportunity to complete all the figures and practice the concept a lot. The only thing that would make it even better would be if there was a version of it with light dotted lines for them to practice completing the figures!! (I hope the editors see this review and decide to make one like that!)

I love the simplicity of these drawings. Perfect for beginner artists. Haven't showed it to the grandkids yet, but whether they like it or not I plan to use it to get my drawing skills up and running! It's a little more money but I highly recommend the spiral book so it will lay flat. I gave it four stars instead of five because they have 365 things to draw but no table of contents or index listing the items . So if you want to draw a specific item, you have to flip through 365 drawings to find it! I'm going to spend one day typing everything into a table of contents so the grandkids and I can find what we're looking for. It's a shame I have to do that, but better that than getting frustrated later.

Our grandkids who love to draw use this book for its pictures to copy from for practice.

This book has a decent amount of pictures with the steps to draw each. Fairly basic, not too involved or detailed. I like the way that you start with some basic shapes and build upon that. Sometimes I just need to see a picture to get my creativity going rather than trying to think of how to draw something on my own. I draw all kinds of different things on their lunch bags, so this helps a lot for coming up with ideas. I feel certain that my grandchildren will be able to use it by themselves once they want to begin drawing things in more detail rather than just squares & other shapes.

Wanted to share some photos of pages I hadn't yet seen in the reviews. I think this book is awesome! I love the variety -- there's no formal sections, but the categories I identified are: animals, nature (plants/insects/weather), food, musical instruments, monsters/aliens/space, sports, holidays/seasonal, fantasy (dinos/dragons/robots/etc), generic people, clothes (to dress the people!), and buildings/vehicles, with plenty mixed in that don't quite fit into any of those. I bought this for an art-loving 6 year old and I think it's going to be a hit with her as she's always striving to improve, and there are SO MANY images here that if she even gets through a fifth of them, it'll be worth the low price.

My 4 years old son, uses this to learn how to draw.He has it in his kindergarten backpack and he practices everyday. He loves to draw so if your kids are interested in drawing, this is a great book to start. It explains step by step and very easy to follow. Great book with a lot of example draws.
