Rada Cutlery Vegetable Peeler (W232), 1.75" Stainless Steel Swiveling Blade, Black Handle

If I could give this product 10 stars, I would. Rada brand cutlery, and kitchen utensils are unlike any other. I swear by these. They are just as good as the Swiss made peelers that cost a fortune if not better. I have given every single one of my family members a Rada peeler, as I think every family should own one. These are the same tools that the Amish use and they use them for a reason. They stay sharp longer. They’re easy to sharpen and have a nice hand grip and maneuverability. They’re super easy to clean. They’re even dishwasher safe. The plastic one in the picture is just your average grocery store brand that discolors over time and slices off knuckles as well as fruits and veggies. ( I keep it for demo purposes only) the two that are the same are a Swiss brand that have been passed down generations in my family and were built to last but are still a little unsafe if you’re not used to them. The last metal one is Rada. Pay attention to how straight the handle is that little space where you can put your thumb to control the blade and how the peeler is angled to cut both fruits and vegetables perfectly every time! I’m in love with these. Mine was in the dishwasher so I opened a new one. Every time someone uses one of these they end up wanting to take it home so I have extras on hand for people so they don’t take mine.. not that they look any different because these things are so durable and well-made! You won’t regret your purchase. These are amazing.! if I could be a spokesperson for Rada, I would!

Rada knifes are the best. Have used them for over 20 years. Needed a new peeler and thought I would have to have a friends back in Michigan get one from the American Legion Auxiliary there and ship it to me but decided to check Amazon. Found Rada!!! Great product - the first peeler has laster about 20 years! The size and shape of the peeler make it easy to use and make the peeling go faster.

Kitchen utensils made in USA of quality steel. Doesn't get better

didnt work well at first but after it was used a couple times worked much better who ever thought a potato peeler would have a break in period

This Rada is a really good vegetable peeler. The blade is very high quality hard steel and the blade is BIG and SHARP and it's easy to use. Pros: -The slot between the two sharpened edges is a little bigger than most so I can peel a lot without it clogging up and that extra space also means that I can peel a thicker layer if I have to. -The hardened steel blade means that it STAYS sharp and peels without having to use extra pressure -The sharpened end is large and pointed and this makes it easy to quickly and easily cut out small pieces of from vegetables (like potato eyes) and fruit -With the Rada I can peel more vegetables in a shorter amount of time than with the traditional type of swivel-blade kitchen peeler -The handle is hard resin (plastic) and is dishwasher safe Cons: -Just one: if the handle was a little bigger it would be much more comfortable So far, the Rada is just about the best peeler I've found in years. After using it for a month I've ordered another to keep in the kitchen drawer so that an extra is always available when the family is preparing a large dinner.

I had the OXO peeler with the fat handle because, at the time, that is all I found at the store. I didn't think much of a peeler but had some issues with that peeler, and when it came up missing one day, I knew I would not be getting another one of those. Because one of the issues I had with my old peeler was the peels getting stuck in the "D" design, I knew I wanted a straight design. The only ones available at the local stores were the OXO or a straight one made of very cheap plastic (for the same price as this one). I decided to hold out for a good quality peeler that could last me a lifetime. I found this peeler on Amazon and I have to say, I am SO happy I did. The stainless steel blade is super sharp and the eye remover slices easily through the potato, compared to the plastic OXO peeler. People who have arthritis may not be comfortable with the small, lightweight, aluminum handle, however, I find I have more control over this peeler than the one with the clumsy fat handle. I also like that it takes up half the space in my cutlery tray. I no longer dread the peeling process and get through it much faster with such a sharper blade. I don't have a problem with having to reposition the peeler in my hand as I am working. It can be used right or left handed, toward or away from you, for whatever your peeling needs are. Also, the peels are super thin and because of the straight design, don't fly all over the place if I am working quickly. I can peel right into the trash can without making a mess. The construction is integrated and solid, so I expect that it will last me a long time, that is, if I don't loose it.

This is the best peeler for speed peeling carrots. Not a dull blade either.

We’ve done a lot of home cooking over the years and this is without a doubt the best peeler we’ve ever owned. This one I bought is to add to the original peeler, that I bought over 20 years ago. It still soldiers on and is our go to peeler for over two decades. Profiled aluminum handle feels just right and will get smoother over the years. The profile of the handle changed a bit, it used to be flatter, like they make on their Deluxe model. Blade is wide and very sharp. Overall quality is outstanding. Highly recommend!
