These Sorbothane heel pads are a bit firmer than Dr. Scholl’s gel heel pads, but firmer in a good way - they don’t squash down like a gel, but still FULLY cushions the heel. I can use these in both running shoes and dress shoes (this actually saved my dress shoes and I can wear them again).

I love the quality and comfort of these pads. Fro me, they stay in place in a enclosed shoe ( not so in an open sandal ) without the need of any adhesive, giving you the ability to change them into whatever shoe you want to wear. They provide good heel support, yet don’t add bulk. They are durable long lasting. I’ve had one pair for a few years and am still using them. I have other new pairs ready to use when I need them. Sobothane provides high quality. I’m also dedicated to using the Sobothane Ultra graphite arches in my running shoes, for the past least 25 or so years. My husband and daughter use the Ultra insoles in their running shoes. These insoles provide optimal protection from impact, and provide much comfort! Our feet deserve the best!!

bought these because of extreme joint and leg pain i've been experiencing in the mornings after a heavy day of walking. didn't even like them when i put them in, to be honest. but boy oh boy, do they work! they did raise up my foot in my shoe a tiny bit, but it was okay with the particular shoes i bought these for. my biggest problem was that i felt it increased the force on the ball of my foot in this particular pair of loafers, so now i will find a full-insole sorbothane for these shoes. definitely keeping the two pairs of heel inserts already purchased to use in other shoes with more forefront cushioning. sorbothane blue inserts were rated in an independent study to reduce more than other insoles the shock force from walking in a tight fitting dress shoe. it certainly worked for me. i woke the day after with NO PAIN OR STIFFNESS! now i'm off to look for a full-foot sorbothane insole. thank you, sorbothane! i highly recommend this product!

I am a physical therapist and have recommended Sorbothane heel inserts to people for 25+ years as the pads attenuates ground reaction forces very well and reduces low back pain for many users who are on their feet all day. However, back in the day they were much thinner and nearly imperceptible in my shoe, and now they are just way too thick and I don't like the fit or feel. Not sure why they chose to go that route as the original design was perfect imo.

I suddenly started having pain in the area of my Plantar Fasciitis –like in the heel of my foot – when I worked on my feet all day. Seeking relief, I bought four different heel-cushioning products from Amazon: MyFootSupply Gel Heel Pad Medium, Spenco Rx Heel Cushion, Half Elevator Insole for Men - 1/2 inches (A pack of 2 Pairs), and this product, Sorbothane Heel Pad. This product, the Sorbothane Heel Pad stays in place nicely, and gives me a tiny bit more height, but doesn’t do anything to prevent my foot pain. If you have blue or purple shoe soles, this item blends in … otherwise it doesn’t. Three stars. Out of the four products I bought, the Half Elevator Insole was the best. Not only does this product cushion your heel and make you a little taller, but also you get TWO pairs for a very reasonable price! In addition, this insert is virtually invisible in most shoes, is comfortable, and stays in place nicely. I bought two more pairs of these. Five stars! The Spenco Rx Heel Cushion does shift around a little, but it does help my plantar foot pain. It adds a little height to you as well. Four stars. The MyFootSupply Gel Heel Pad was the most disappointing insert I purchased. Initially, it feels great and you might think that these inserts will help. After working on my feet all day, my Plantar hurt like heck with these inserts. I think that these gel heel pads concentrate your weight-per-square-inch to the heel of your feet. In addition, they slide around too much, requiring repositioning. Two stars.

Have a pair in all my shoes now! They absorb impact very well. Sorbathane is used as a vibration isolator. Finally one for your feet. Comfortable.

My Sorbothane Heel Pad arrived and I inserted in my sneakers immediately to help with my "acute Heel pain" due to Achilles Tendonitis and Bone Calcification. I had previously tried several Drug Store types and although they offered some level of comfort; so far they do not come close to the Sorbothane Heel Pad; however there are 2 types offered on Amazon with no differentiation offered (other than the Blue one is $10 more expensive than the Red one) AND the cheaper one arrives much later. I asked the question but there was no reason offered for the price or the delivery. It would be better if Amazon provided more info (re material, delivery, cost difference). So far I am quite pleased with the relief offered by the Blue one and now I have ordered a Red one to see if I can tell the difference.
