Disappointed stay away from this oroduct
I didnโt pay attention to the weight on the product, shame on me. If you buy this pay attention to the absolutely ridiculous price for such a small amount of grass seed. Also know that this seller charges almost $4.00 to return! Order the plugs itโs a much better product.

Keep it watered until well established.
60 years ago, my dad dug plugs of Zoysia grass from a yard in Mississippi and brought it to Indiana. It makes a weed-free, lush green summer grass. I was happy to find the seeds. I planted them, mini-clover, and Kentucky bluegrass together to try and overcome the weeds at our new house where we had to dig up the whole back yard and ended up with so many perennial weeds.

No Results
Followed directions, used fresh top soil, kept it moist (morning and evening), and not even a single sprout. I spent close to $100 with nothing to show. Very disappointing and a waste of money.

Disappointed
I first tried this on a seeding tray with different soils as a test. The seed when first applied looked like dead dried up husk. They never germinated. Good thing I didn't waste time on a lawn.

GROWING ZOYSIA PLUGS
I originally bought zoysia plugs but that can get expensive fast so I bought these seeds. I planted the seeds around July 16 in the little black plastic pots those plugs came in. A week later I planted more in the biodegradable pots in the back. Some of those seeds sprouted in just 3 days... and for some reason they grew faster than the originals... at least for a bit. So this pic is from Aug 4th. I expected them to grow faster... but what do I know. Since they were outside I tried to protecting them from being over watered... but with the rain. Now some of the grass blades look more mature and not just little seedlings. NOTE: A squirrel dug some up.

Worked perfectly in my test pot
I did a test plot in a large ground pot. I scattered seeds loosely over the top. Sprinkled soil over those and watered lightly. It grew so thick and lush!! And appeared to last all winter in the pot. But my hubby didn't know I was running an experiment and dumped it before the first real warm period. For every 4 inches of micro grass, something else popped up, thicker and taller. I let the grass get established and nipped them out.
