Perfect product at a perfect price, especially for the skeptical.
I play drums for a few local groups and one touring show. It was on the road with the touring show that I was introduced to the Behringer P1. The soundman for the show carries a dozen of them and offered the use of one with a set of earbuds as an alternative to a floor monitor. I was skeptical at first, but very quickly learned to appreciate the benefits of having the sound delivered directly to my ears. It cuts down on the overall stage volume of the band, making the soundman's job a little easier, and with my own personal mix including my kit, it enables me to relax and not overplay volume-wise, which in turn allows me to use more finesse. When I started using the P1 and earbuds with my local groups in which I sing harmony as well as play, the resulting change was phenomenal. What had been true for my drumming was doubly so for singing. Intonation and balance are so much more easily achieved. So far I have gotten three bandmates to switch, saving us tons of floor space in crowded clubs, and cutting back significantly on the stage volume. I know you can spend as much as you want for in-ear monitor ability, but it would have to be a huge difference in sound quality to convince me to switch!

Very simple and effective
This is about as simple as it gets. You just run a cable from the board to the Behringer, and there you go; no fuss no muss, no bother with trying to get the right channel or bleed over interference from other electronic devices. It’s also inexpensive and tough. Just remember to unhook yourself before leaving the stage, otherwise you’ll be like a dog coming to the end of his leash; not that I’ve ever done that. Ha.

Routinely use 6 of these for wired in ear mixes
Solid construction. They've been thoroughly tested and are reliable (used without failures over 4-5 years). Battery life is surprisingly good (multiple gigs) and must have a power saving function to not drain as rapidly even if mistakenly left on. There's some more generic knockoff's that are copying the design but IMO ain't worth the $10 savings. Love the 1/4" stereo or XLR input option. The volume sweep on the knob is also nicely linear with most in-ears.

highly recommend this simple personal monitor
It really doesn't get much more simple than this for personal monitoring. TRS/XLR input from the bottom, power/volume knob the top. Inside, is the hidden stereo/mono switch (which needs to align to the source, not your wishes) and spots for 2 AAA batteries. Send in a line-level signal that used to go to your powered monitors (or monitor bi-amp) and you're golden. I have only used mine for practice, but the sound is good, and the cable was not nearly as limiting as I thought it would be. If you already have a cable running from your instrument to a pedalboard or and amp, you're already leashed. I just ran my monitoring cable alongside the instrument cable, and attached the belt clip to my guitar strap. I imagine, when I take it live, I'll Velcro-strip the cables together, but whatev. For the price, it is kinda crazy to not do this versus continuing to suffer with stage wedges - and the stage noise and sound hot spots they create. Not to mention all the extra gear you don't need to haul around anymore. Behringer is a known brand, and since the mergers with other companies (like Midas pre-amps), I think their product offerings are significantly better than they were 20 years ago. These are so inexpensive, I bought extras so when we have a guest performer, s/he can simply patch in. Would and will buy again.

Very Sturdy, portable, loud.
This is an exelent product. One your studio or live engineer knows what they're doing, you'll love this. Very sturdy and built well as mine fell hard a few times and nothing has changed, not even a chip on the paint (hats off to Behringer). As long as you dont forget to turn it off when not in use, the battery lasts very long. I would say 12 hours or more battery life. The volume/ power knob feels great and the belt clip is very convenient.

Just what I needed...
I bought this little headphone amp to boost the signal from my Samsung Chromebook (which is excellent, BTW), as the headphone output is rather wimpy. I don't use earbuds (hate 'em!), I use a pair of AKG K240 phones. I'm a bit hard of hearing (60 years in the audio industry, as a tech, FOH mixdude, musician, etc.) and this Behringer gizmo turned out to be exactly what I needed. It's built like a tank, and the connectors seem to be fairly robust (so far). More level than I need, which is useful if you're on YouTube listening to something which was uploaded by someone who is clueless about audio levels...you can easily correct for less-than-optimum levels with this gizmo. It runs on two AAA cells; the manual specifies the battery life as 12 hours. I'm running mine on some Tenergy Li-MH 1000 mAh cells and I'm getting about 18 hours on a charge. Input to the device is via one of those snazzy male XLR/1/4" TRS connectors, output via a standard 3.5mm TRS female. Signal is clean and pristine, plenty of headroom. Nice feel on the output level pot, too, although the detent for the power switch at the bottom of the pot's rotation doesn't click much. The green pilot LED turns red when the batteries are crapping out. Unit has a belt clip (in my application I'd rather it didn't, but short of a hacksaw, there's no way to remove it) and the steel case slides apart with just one push of a button for super-easy battery access. Inside, a stereo-mono switch, which I set to stereo (it comes set to mono) and haven't messed with since. It's made in China, but unlike many Chinese products it's built by people who evidently give a damn whether it's any good or not. I may buy a few more and give them to my friends.

Good and compact, but still needs battery
Very well built, extremely compact, as the purpose of this product. The XLR/TRS is very handy, so you don't need to rely in 1 single type of connection. However, it still relies in using 2 AAA batteries. Of course I will end up getting some rechargeable batteries, but it's about time that all products stop using those kind of batteries and switch to rechargeable ones. Other than that, the product is great.

Muy bueno, gran precio y muy util para todos losmúsicos
Buen amplificador para monitorizacion in ear.
