can I use them at the beach?

I wouldn't, you need longer stakes for a beach, the sand won't hold them well and wind is more likely at a beach I would try 3 feet stakes

Does anyone know where to buy replacements for the green plastic part? It breaks often and I have about 20 stakes I'd hate to waste.

I break them all the time too. I think the plastic gets brittle in hot dry air. The price here is super expensive; at most outfitter stores you can find a whole new stake for about a dollar. I just buy new ones every few years.

Any weight estimate on these? I was planning on taking them in my suitcase for our beach vacation. Thanks!

I don't know the exact weight, but they are not very heavy at all. However, they are great stakes for the sand! Have a great vacation!

How well do these resist rust?

Ive had mine for two years in the bag that my tent stakes came in and no rust. The problem is the green plastic piece. If you set them in a really hard area dont stake them too deep or you will find it very hard to remove or break the green plastic.
