Central Air A-C DraftShields® 15"x8" Cover

It does exactly what I wanted it for. It completely blocks heat coming from register in ceiling. The upstairs bedroom gets so hot when furnace is running and I've been looking for a way of blocking it completely. I tried a sheet of plexiglass inside vent cover but its a hassle taking it in and out each season and heat came thru. This is easy and tight. Just way over-priced. I'd like 4 or 5 but can't see spending $100 on 4 pieces of plastic. $10 each seems more fitting

The product protrudes off the ceiling well beyond the vent so it is very noticable and looks bad. It might be ok in a basement but not a living room.I bought 1 unit to try out and decided to return it. Unfortunately, the seller - Battic Door Energy Conservation Products - will only allow a return if I pay for both the freight to ship to me and back to them. That means practically no refund so I will just recyle it. Didn't see any notice about paying for returns on the product page or I would not have bought from them.

I tried soooooo many different ways to stop the heat from coming through the vents -- from massive duct tape arrangements, to cardboard, to those magnetic flaps, etc. THIS WORKS. I can't believe it's not in every Home Depot store. So simple and so effective. Those stupid magnetic ones just fall off, but this one stays in place!Forgive me for gushing, but I've been looking for a solution for years.BTW, when mine arrived, the little plastic ring was broken. I emailed them and I had a replacement within days with no fuss. This little gadget is genius.

I got this because my second bedroom gets essentially all of the heat from my heater and the vent is high on the wall so a magnetic cover wouldn't work. The room was unbearable to sleep in due to the heat. This thing is magic! My tenant is happy and comfortable in the room now. It really worked as far as sealing off the heat from that vent. I'm pleased because the other reviews were not so positive so I was wary it would work. But if you don't care about how it looks and do care about how it functions, I'd go for this!

These cover work very well. A hook attaches to the register and to good quality elastic band. You attach the band to the plastic cover to keep it tightly in place. The base of the cover has a foam lining to provide a good fit to the wall. I installed it on both wall and roof registers without any problems. I did have the registers closed. The covers prevented any air leakages. The only problem I saw was that the seller took four days to ship the items.

With all the negative reviews for the magnetic covers, I was worried that there would be nothing to help me control the drafts in my house. However, these covers work perfectly! They are well made, super easy to install and do an amazing job. Once you install it you will think, wow, why didn't I think of that? So simple, yet effective!

Easy to install and works well at blocking heat from going where you don't want it to go. It has a foam gasket around the edge and fits snugly against the wall or ceiling.
